BRING BACK OUR GIRLS

What's the update?
I mean about the girls
The girls from Chibok
Stolen from their school

Yes, you now remember
We've waited in plastic chairs
Scattered like stars on the square
Struggling to be their light
Even as the light flickers and wane
We still raise our thinning voices.

Is Sambisa still their cage
Or has it moved?
I thought they had drones and satellites,
Spies that see through trees and men

Did you ask them where the girls are?
Did they eat this morning,
Bathe and learn their ABC?
Do they know that we tweet #BBOG,
That our timelines clog for them?

They said it's day #130
Really, that's annoying
I could throw tantrums and
Drop the F word on you
I guess that's what I'll do
Sanity seems to lack a place right here
So "Hey!!!!
Get the hell in there
And fucking #BringBackOurGirls"!
