Boko Haram's foreign ICT expert arrested, reveals the sect's modus operandi

The military has arrested a foreign computer expert who is said to be behind the several video shots sent to online media organization and foreign media houses. He was said to have been arrested with some sophisticated equipment and copies of some of the videos the terrorists had sent to online media houses on their escapades including that of the abducted Chibok girls.

Vanguard reports that, military sources disclosed that the computer analyst who is currently being interrogated was responsible for configuring computer images website and internet accesses that enables the group fight media and psychological operations.

Sources said he was arrested after a shootout when a group of the sect members mobilized and attacked Konduga with a view to recovering the body of the impostor for burial in a site they would later earmark as their shrine.

Vanguard further gathered that the foreigner has made shocking confessional statements about the terrorists group's plans and modus operandi as well as their backers that would aid the troops fast track the routing of the Boko Haram insurgency.

"We have made a very big break through; the computer analyst is opening up and has made very big revelations on the modus operandi of the sect. We also discovered that the ICT expert is the back bone of the signals and communication links of late impersonator, Mohammed Bashir who always poses as Abubakar Shekau, whenever he is talking on Youtube."

With the breakthrough, the military is said to be better informed on how the Impostor of Shekau was able to reach out to the world and claim victory over Nigerian troops after several attacks.

While confirming that there is a successor crisis in the camp of the terrorists resulting from the death of most of their commanders by troops in Konduga, Vanguard learnt that some terrorists are yet to be disarmed because they were yet to come to terms that their erstwhile leader, Shakau has been killed.

Ini Edo's marriage crashes, bride price returned to husband

Nollywood actress, Ini Edo is no longer married to American based businessman, Phillips Ehiagwina.

The Marriage which was contracted in November 2008 is whispered to have been hopping on one leg before finally crashing over five weeks ago.

A close friend of the actress squealed that the marriage broke down due to very strong allegations of 'serial cheating with evidence' but that the couple who are pretending to still be in talking terms might cite irreconcilable differences.

Sources allege that Phillips Ehiagwina demanded to have back the bride price he paid to marry Ini Edo and his wishes were granted by her people.

Ini Edo and Phillips got married in an American ceremony and the whispers also indicate that part of the union may have also been dissolved.

Efforts to contact Mr Ehiagwina to find out why he collected back the bride price he paid on our darling actress met a brick wall as his American and Nigerian phones were switched off.

There are also strong whispers that a group of ladies accosted actress Ini Edo recently and beat the living daylights out of her.The whisperers say that the reason is that 'One of the girls who is dating a Lekki big boy namedLewa alleges that Ini has been dating her boyfriend for the past 3 years and it was time tostop and face her marriage but unfortunately Ini's marriage was already over by the time they accosted her...'

Ini and Phillip have no child between them.

Tiwa Savage replaces Teebillz with new manager

Tiwa Savage and Teebillz are recently not having the best of times as a married couple. It was so evident on his birthday when she acted so cold on social media. She also hasn't been spotted him for quite a while now. The reason is unclear now but they are reportedly living separately now. Some reports say he laid hands on her, others say it has to do with a side chick.

Though they haven't changed management info on their twitter bios, Tiwa Savage has reportedly replaced her hubby with a new manager by name Emeka (Mekkamillions).

He has been spotted with her at most recent events and he answers her phone calls now. According to the Netng, he joined Teebillz's 323 Entertainment company and still is close to him, calling him his mentor. 

So it's obvious Tiwa Savage who is still signed on to Teebillz's 323 Entertainment can't just terminate her contract because she has issues with her hubby, so she must have requested for someone other than Teebillz to manage her, hence, Mekkamillions who happens to be part of Teebillz's company.

So I guess he would be managing her till she and her hubby sort things out.

Jason Derulo says he split with Jordin Sparks because he felt pressured to marry

In an interview with Ryan Seacrest today, Jason Derulo said he and longtime girlfriend Jordin Sparks broke up because he felt so much pressure to settle down...

"What happened...in a nutshell, there was a lot of tension in the relationship for a lot of different reasons... There was a lot of pressures of marriage. There was a lot of arguing and stuff like that that just weighed on our relationship over time. When you stop having more good times than bad bad times, it’s time to call it quits. It becomes something that is unhealthy. I'm not one to throw my business out on the street, but I thought it was important because things are getting a little out of hand.

To be fair, it was not just from her either. It was kind of from everybody. That’s not the sole reason, but it definitely played a part. I'll be lying if I said that we parted in good terms. But it's not a bad situation. There’s no bad blood. We didn’t end off on a weird way or a negative way.'  Jason said...

Another church building collapses in Edo state

Barely a week after a building belonging to Christ Chosen Church of God collapsed in Edo state killing three people, another church building has collapsed in the state.

A building belonging to Liberty Power Bible Church a.k.a Power Palace at Asoro Slope, off Ekenwan Road in Benin city, Edo state, collapsed yesterday September 28th. 

According to reports, the incident happened shortly after members of the church left the building after the close of service. No life was lost.

The owner of the land where the church was being constructed, Ajor Sylvanus, told reporters that the building collapsed because it was not properly built...

“The storm that followed the rain was much but I have been complaining about the building structure. The pastor built the church like a fence, no pillar. The block is just ordinary sand. I have been telling him that no pillar would cause the building to collapse. The building fell on my building and damaged many things. I thanked God that nobody died. When the pastor came, he was concerned about the musical instrument in his church and thanked God that his church members were not around when the building fell. I had to call the police. The building has already cracked and I have been warning the pastor that the building will collapse.” he said.

Jason Derulo denies cheating on Jordin Sparks

Last week, Jason Derulo and Jordin Sparks ended engagement after three years together and there were rumours that it was because he cheated. Well, Jason denies they split over cheating… 

In a statement to the media Jason explains,

"Though I think it is a private matter and intended to keep my break-up with Jordin personal, due to bogus and irresponsible lies being reported by insensitive media outlets it became necessary for me to comment. I spent three great years with Jordin and she is one of the most amazing people that I have ever met. But as in all relationships there are ups and downs and at this time we have decided to amicably part. Infidelity, cheating or deceit played no part in our relationship or our break-up, and I hope that people respect our privacy as we move forward with our lives."

Meet Tayo, Nigeria's 2nd Big Brother Africa Hotshots contestant

The 2nd Nigerian Big Brother Africa Hotshots housemate has been revealed.

A 1.93m-tall model with a Higher National Diploma in Maritime Studies, Tayo certainly stands out in a crowd. He lists his favourite foods as Eba an Okra Soup mixed with fish stew, his favourite musicians as 2Face Idibia, Beautiful Nubia and D’Banj.

Tayo says his favourite place in Nigeria is Oyo Town, his place of birth. ‘That’s my home, where I started life. It reminds me of who I am now and how far I’ve come in life,’ he says. He says the best thing about Africa is ‘culture and pride’ and that his favourite place outside of Nigeria is South Africa, which he calls his ‘home away from home’.

He entered Big Brother Hotshots because he believed in himself, and was also encouraged to enter by others. ‘I like to be seen and to be heard,’ he says. Tayo says he’s not willing to change who he is or disgrace his family and friends to impress viewers or his fellow Housemates. If Tayo wins the grand prize, he says he’ll, set up his life and give himself a life of luxury.

Anita Oyakhilome's name and picture removed from Rhapsody of Realities

Anita Oyakhilome has been excluded from the newly released October, 2014 edition of Rhapsody of Realities, Christ Embassy's monthly devotional.

The devotional, which was started many years ago by the now estranged couple, usually had both their pictures and writings in the pages, but in this new 31-page edition, there's not one picture or article attributed to Pastor Anita, just pastor Chris.

Also, the back cover of the magazine which usually had a picture of the couple now has only Pastor Chris on it. It's now strictly Pastor Chris...

Row over prosecution of Nyanya blast mastermind, Aminu Ogwuche

The inability of the Ministry of Justice, the Police and Department of State Service (DSS) to agree on which agency should prosecute the suspected mastermind of the April 14 bomb blast in Nyanya, Abuja, Aminu Ogwuche, stalled his arraignment on Friday.

Ogwuche has been in the DSS custody since his extradition from Sudan over a month ago. However, confusion arose in court on Friday between the police and State Security Service (SSS) over which of the two agencies should prosecute the suspected bomb blast mastermind who had subsequently fled to Sudan.

According to the Nation, the police, who filed the charges, could not produce Ogwuche and his co-accused because the suspects were held by the DSS. DSS lawyer  Cliff Osagie, urged the police to withdraw the initial charges against the accused to enable the DSS complete its investigation.

“I expect them (the police) to have withdrawn the charges to enable us (DSS) complete our investigation, and hand, over the case to the attorney-general of the federation, who is empowered to prosecute cases such as this,” he said.

Osagie said after the accused was extradited from Sudan, the DSS on September 11 obtained an order from Justice Gabriel Kolawole, to keep the accused in custody for 90 days “in the first instance.”
Counsel to the police, Oloye Torugbene, said he would not withdraw the charges, as he was not instructed to do so. The charges were filed by the police to facilitate Ogwuche’s extradition from Sudan, where he allegedly escaped to after the incident. Justice Ademola held that the police had not presented the documents to show investigations had been completed.

The judge, who expressed surprise about the lack of “collaboration” between the two security agencies, asked them to sort out the issues and agree on a date. He adjourned the case till November 10.

Over 100 persons died in the blast, which was said to have been masterminded by the accused.
Ogwuche and others were reportedly arrested in Sudan with the assistance of the Interpol. In one of the three counts, Ogwuche was alleged to have conspired with others (at large), to commit terrorism by detonating improvised explosive devices at the Nyanya terminus, which resulted in the death of 75 persons. Over 100 were injured.

Lagos State Government may Prosecute TB Joshua

The Lagos State Government has set up a coroner of inquest for the purpose of investigating the cause of the September 12 Synagogue Church of All Nation’s building collapse.

And according to PUNCH, this was made known in a statement credited to the Lagos State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Ade Ipaye, on Sunday. In the statement, Ipaye had instigated the coroner’s inquest pursuant to Section 15 of the Lagos State Coroner’s System Law No. 7 of 2007. The coroner of inquest, headed by Magistrate O. A. Komolafe, has been charged with the duty of establishing the cause of the collapse of Synagogue’s six-storey building that killed no fewer than 115 persons.

Ipaye, who spelt out the responsibility of the coroner, said its final submission might necessitate the institution of a criminal charge against the church. The commissioner was quoted to have said:

“The law requires the verdict of a coroner, as certified in writing, to be forwarded to the State Attorney General and such verdict may form the basis of criminal prosecution depending on the evidence collected. The coroner in this case is Magistrate O. A. Komolafe, who also sat as coroner in the Dana Air Crash case. He is expected to announce his sitting or visitation schedules and other details and to hold the inquest at the premises of the High Court of Lagos State, Oba Akinjobi Way, Ikeja. 

In doing this, he (Komolafe) has all the powers of a magistrate to summon and compel the attendance of witnesses, including medical examiners, and require them to give evidence, produce documents or present other relevant materials.”

According to South African journalist, Robyn Kriel; a fellow international press member, who has been based in Lagos for several years, while giving him her thoughts on the SCOAN hostel building collapse, said:

“You don’t want to die in Nigeria. Hell, you don’t even want to get sick in Nigeria. You are just another number. You will be told ‘people die all the time in Nigeria, what makes you so special?’”

Tough words he says they were but words he started believing after his own haunting experience in Nigeria.

Maybe it's time to believe those reports that it was all a set up to sell concert tickets and be constantly in the news...

Veteran Nollywood actor, Kenneth Okonkwo declares to run for Federal House of Assembly

Veteran Nollywood actor, Kenneth Okonkwo has joined the league of other entertainers currently eyeing various political offices.

The star actor is seeking to represent Nsukka/Igboeze South Federal

Constituency at the National Assembly on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP). He made his intention known during a media parley on Wednesday.

Okonkwo who rose to stardom with movie Living in Bondage, is a graduate of Business Administration from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka in Enugu State, and a Masters degree holder in International Law and Diplomacy from the University of Lagos, Akoka.

Okonkwo's with his declaration, has joined other entertainers who had earlier declared to run for different offices in their respective states. They include: Kate Henshaw, Kenny Saint Best, 9ice, Tony Tetula, Julius Agwu, and Bob Manuel.
