Several weeks after hundreds of girls were abducted from a Government Secondary School, Chibok, Borno state, reports about the Nigerian military being incapable of rescuing the girls have filtered the air. Some of the reports were even credited to the Defence Headquarters (DHQ). The DHQ has today, May 8, 2014 disassocaited itself from the report.
In a statement signed by the Major General Chris Olukolade, the defence information chief stated that the section of the media with that report is only trying to drag the Armed Forces into politics of which they will not succeed.
