Buhari staged the assassination to discredit Jonathan – Asari-Dokubo

Self-acclaimed Niger Delta warlord and leader of Niger Delta Peoples Salvation Force (NDPSF), Alhaji Mujahid Dokubo-Asari yesterday accused former Head of State, General Mohammed Buhari (rtd.) of masterminding last Wednesday’s alleged assassination attempt on himself in order to attract public sympathy and paint President Goodluck Jonathan as a bad leader.
The attack, which took place in Kaduna, from which the former military ruler escaped unhurt, has drawn widespread condemnation from within and outside Nigeria, with the Boko Haram sect being tipped as the main suspect behind the assassination attempt.
Asari, in a statement, also lashed out at Buhari, calling him a liar who plotted to kill many innocent Nigerians in the explosion.
The former President of Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) who addressed the media in Abuja, added that Buhari and his group would fail in their conspiracy and desperation to take over power from President Jonathan.
Claiming he knew Buhari so well, Asari said Buhari was not known to be driving a bullet-proof car prior to the incident, alleging that the use of an armoured jeep in his motorcade started recently which confirmed his allegation.

Didier Drogba returns to Chelsea FC

Friday, July 25, 2014

Drogba just announced on his instagram page that he's back at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho revealed recently that he wanted Drogba back, and he's made it happen
"We want to win matches and win titles and Didier is one of the best strikers in Europe. He is still very adapted to the needs of the Premier League and we are thinking about it in a non-emotional way. If I bring him back, and the decision has to be made soon, it is because as a player he has qualities to make the team stronger. The team is not about the eleven. It is about the different options and as an option I would not say no about the possibility.’ Mourinho said.
Congratulations to Didier!

Jay Z and Beyonce to 'split up' after tour?

Jay Z and Beyonce are reportedly going to separate after their joint On The Run Tour.

The couple, who have been dogged by split rumours for months, are said to be planning a trial separation but do not want to go ahead with a divorce.

A source told The New York Post’s Page Six: "They are trying to figure out a way to split without divorcing. This is a huge concert tour and they've already gotten most of the money from the promoters up front. There are no rings, if you haven’t noticed."

It is believed the couple - who have a two-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy - thought having their first child would bring them closer together but they soon drifted apart again and couldn't bring back the original spark.

The source explained: "For just a split moment, things got real for them and she was even talking about adding to the family.

"But, after a while, Jay was out doing Jay and Bey was out doing Bey. They made the classic mistake of thinking a child would change everything and help to rekindle the initial fire, and it didn't."

The tour is believed to be the last for Jay Z, 44, and Beyonce, 32, after marriage counsellors failed to help them get their relationship back on track during recent weeks.

It comes just two months after Beyonce’s sister, Solange Knowles, was seen on leaked CCTV footage attacking rapper Jay Z in a lift after the Met Ball after-party.

The couple have been putting on a united front during their tour and have been seen looking loved-up on stage, despite the rumours.

They also shared family snaps online recently, keen to show a united front

Nigeria on the verge of breakup - Bishop David Oyedepo

Speaking recently on the spate of bombings and attacks in the country, G/O of the Living Faith Church aka Winners Chapel, Bishop David Oyedepo said that Nigeria is on the verge of a break up.
"I hope that we are willing to find solution to it. I would be the last person in this world to believe that government has not discovered those who are behind Boko Haram. Otherwise, we don’t have any intelligence service in our country. Are they sacred cows that cannot be brought to book? Until we cut the source of their supplies and get those who are involved, we cannot stop them. But the danger is this, and I must say it here, we are at the verge of a break up. That is the truth. It’s unfortunate. The Nigerian nation is too intelligent to claim not to have discovered those who are behind this. So, I really believe it’s all in the hands of the authorities to decide whether they want to confront the issue headlong or to keep watching it until Nigeria breaks up......All that the church can do is to pray. The church is not in power, it has no political power. And when invited, we give advice, when required or called upon. You can’t call someone and say can I advise you?" - Bishop David Oyedepo

PHOTO: Python swallows antelope then spews out its dead body

Thursday, July 24, 2014

The jaw dropping moment a giant Python swallowed a baby Antelope was captured on camera by animal rescuer Nitish Bambhaniya in the village of Billa in Gujarat, India.
"I got a call in the morning for an Indian rock python. When we reached the spot, we saw this massive python. The python had hunted a baby blue bull and had already eaten 80% of the bull's body. It is on the edge of an open field, so lots of locals start gathering there." Nitish said
As people gathered, with many saying the snake should be killed as it could be a danger to them, the snake known as the Indian Rock Python stopped swallowing the antelope & let go of its lifeless body
"Pythons do it so that they can shed body weight and escape faster. Meanwhile, we convinced the villagers not to kill the python and they agreed. Later we caught the python and handed it over to the forest department officials." Nitish said
The python was released by the officials in a nearby forest, before slithering away to freedom. See pics of the action after the cut...
