'My mother and father were brother and sister' - Harrysong reveals

Singer Harrysong known now as Mr Songs, revealed recently that his father and mother are siblings.

In an interview with Yes! magazine, he said he's an only child because his parents split after finding out they were related by blood.
"My father and mother are actually brother and sister. They gave birth to me before they could realize that. It was a big abomination, so they had to separate. Even, they attempted to kill my father in that village but he fled, because in Warri where I come from , it is a taboo. They termed it incest.”

Meet captured Fulani herdsmen who confessed to being Boko Haram members

These are the faces of some of the people causing terror in Nigeria. These 17 men you see above are Fulani Herdsmen who were recently captured by the military. They were part of the group that terrorized residents in Benue, Nasarawa, Taraba and Zamfara recently. They also took part in the recent killing of hundreds of people and burning of houses in Wukari, Taraba state. After their capture, they confessed to being members of the Boko Haram sect.

The military released the pic above and a statement signed by the Director of Defence Information, Major General Chris Olukolade. Find it below...

Other members of the group were sighted in the course of air surveillance and later trailed to their camp where they engaged the troops in a battle.
The terrorists were clad in the usual pattern of dress of their counterparts operating in Borno and Yobe States”.“One of the apprehended armed men confessed that he had been fighting for the terrorist group in Borno State and was recently brought to Wukari area in furtherance of their mission”.“Assorted arms and ammunition were recovered from them.

Oh no! Chris Brown to be locked up till June as his trial is delayed

This is what they call witch hunting..lol. When people say someone in your village is doing you, this is what it looks like. They're doing whatever they can to break him. Now feeling really sorry for him. Chris Brown will stay in jail until June after his D.C assault trial was delayed for months. His lawyer applied for bail yesterday but a judge in L.A turned him down.
His trial was supposed to start yesterday April 23rd but was delayed because his bodyguard, Chris Hollosy, who has already been found guilty of assault, wanted immunity to testify on Chris' behalf, saying that he and not Chris punched the fan. But he wasn't granted immunity and so he is refusing to testify while he appeals his verdict. Chris Brown's trial is now on hold until after Hollosy's appeal concludes...and this will take months. Chris Brown faces up to four years in prison if found guilty.
The singer reportedly broke down in court when he was told his bail application was denied. Now he's being sent back to California on Con-Air in chains to await his trial date. Hang in there, Chris!

"We will slaughter the girls if you keep searching for them" - Boko Haram

Wednesday, April 23, 2014

Parents of the abducted 234 female studentsof Government Girls’ Secondary School, Chibok in Borno State claimed on Tuesday that the Boko Haram sect had threatened to kill them if they failed to stop their search for the abducted students.
The parents, whose identities were not disclosed, spoke on the Hausa Service of the Voice of America, monitored in Kaduna on Tuesday.
They also noted that they had hired no fewer than 100 okada(commercial motorcyclists) to
intensify their search for their children but to no avail.
They claimed that those okada riders hired to search for their children at the Sambisa forest had returned, claiming that they could not find their wards/children.
According to the report, the okada riders had returned because the violent sect had threatened to eliminate both the parents and the children.
The parents therefore bemoaned the failure of the authorities to locate and rescue their children.
However, the Borno State Governor, Kashim Shettima, had pleaded with the aggrieved parents to remain calm and prayerful and assured them that the girls would soon be
found.
The governor, while  addressing parents, said he was saddened and would never rest on his oars until the children returned to their parents.
“I am not happy; the security agents are trying. In Sha Allah, the girls would be found,”he said But the Senator representing the area, Ali Ndume, slammed the authorities, saying it was not an ideal situation where those in authority live peacefully while other people always faced danger and pain.
Ndume, who lamented the sad development, chided those in government for complacency over the missing students.

The Psquare Family: Peter and Paul Okoye with wives Lola Omotayo, Anita Isamah and children – Andre, Aliona and Cameron. Photo: Twitter

As the on-going controversy in the Psquare camp ensues, fans across the globe remain worried as to what the future holds for the Pop duo.

The more reserved twin brother has however broken the silence, reaching out to his many fans on social media Facebook, saying a little prayer for his family.

‘After the storm comes the calm. Hoping for better days ahead as one family. God’s intervention‘, Paul Okoye wrote on his wall.
Peter, who is much more vocal has remained silent.

FINALLY! Lola Omotayo Replies Her Haters Saying That She Broke Up P. Square! – See What She Said!

It seems people are beginning to blame Peter Okoye’s wife, Lola Omotayo for the sad Psquare’s separation.
Fans are calling her all sorts of names like “bad wife”, blaming her for the conflict. Some fans actually attacked Lola on her facebook page after posting a picture of her son Cameron and rapper Phyno few hours ago

with the caption “My Mr Intelligent(Cameron) With @Phynofino”. Well, Lola who seemed to be less concerned about the critics replied with “I think SILENCE Is the best answer”.

Banky W Slams Lady who Dissed Tiwa Savage for Having their Wedding in Dubai

Just incase you can’t read clearly what is in the picture, their conversation reads:

 Afrikaetal:
Why Dubai all the time. Use the powerful platform you have to promote your home country instead of the hypocrisy of always running to other Countries. If you all invest
the money into small businesses in Nigeria or Africa at large, we too will have others running to us. # proudly African# 4h

Bankywellington’s reply:
@afrikaetal Such comments irritate me. We use the platforms we have to promote Nigeria all the time. We invest our money in Nigeria. You don’t know the number of Nigerians we employ, the number of kids we put through school with scholarships, the number of health care bills we pay for people… you don’t know the number of Nigerian companies we bank roll and float or the number of ideas we invest.

It’s hard enough finding happiness in this world… Two people should be able to celebrate it any way they feel like it!!! PLUS They already did their traditional wedding in Nigeria, they should be free to do whatever or go wherever they want for the white wedding. It’s THEIR wedding. Not a country’s.. not a state’s… not mine.. and certainly not yours. Leave them be. People all over the world get married, go on vacations or honeymoons, wherever they feel like it all over the world. Our ppl shld be allowed to do the same without being branded hypocrites. You and the high horse you rode in on should have several seats. My goodness.

Stars of Nigerian entertainment industry and fans of singing brothers of P-Square, Paul and Peter, urged both of them to reconcile, forget about their planned break-up and accept the differences which they might have.

One of the top DJ’s, Jimmy Jatt, reminded the conflicting sides that they share same blood:
“You are brothers. You have no choice. You just have to stay together. It is normal for siblings to have issues, but please do not let it tear you apart. I believe in you, I have great faith you will remain together.”

Nollywood diva, Tonto Dikeh, warned about the negative consequences of the break-up, stated that wives must play an important role for resolving the situation:

“When you break up, your whole identity is shattered. It is like death. The love of twins is undisputed, Paul and Peter. You have been together for years, making great songs like Senorita, Do me, Story, More than a friend, Omoge mi, Busy body, Alingo, Personally, Testimony; the list is endless! Why break it up now? Please learn. Two heads are better than one. Mrs Lola and Anita, they say a woman makes a home. This is the time to show the world that both of you are women with great substance, which I believe you are.”

Tonto is a close friend of Peter and Paul and takes their problems in a very serious and personal way.
It would be recalled that some of the reasons Peter wants out is that he claims his brothers do not respect his wife and that their brother, Jude, has been disrespecting Lola for years.

Peter is especially bitter, and it is still possible that Jude and Paul stay together, while Peter dumps them.
The described deadlock prompted his packing out of Squareville mansion in Omole where he lived with his brothers for years to Lekki Phase 1 with his wife Lola Omotayo and their children.

In a recent interview with City People, Annie Idibia is quoted as saying no amount of gossip can ruin her marriage with the love of her life, 2face Idibia
"My husband and I have already made up our minds that no gist or gossip would come between us. We laugh over the controversy. Our friends and families are even more worried for us but we are fine and don't bother about the gossip."

Twelve of Moyes' most damaging results as United manager

Patience appears to have finally run out at Old Trafford, with David Moyes' sacking as Manchester United manager now imminent. Eleven Premier League defeats, a failure to qualify for the Champions League for the first time in 19 years and little sign of any serious progress means the United board are compelled to act.

The season that followed Sir Alex Ferguson's departure has been tougher than expected. Here, ESPN charts the painful defeats that have intensified the uncertainty surrounding Moyes' Old Trafford future.

Liverpool 1-0 Manchester United, Premier League, Sept. 1, 2013

With Liverpool making their best start to a Premier League campaign in nearly two decades, United were coming to terms with the loss of Wayne Rooney to a head wound. They lacked creativity at Anfield and Moyes suffered his first loss as United manager.

"I thought we played really well. Apart from the lapse in concentration for their goal, we played well," Moyes said, putting a brave face on defeat to bitter rivals.

Manchester City 4-1 Manchester United, Premier League, Sept. 22, 2013

The "noisy neighbours" humiliated Moyes in his first taste of aManchester derby when United were outclassed by Manuel Pellegrini's side from start to finish. A late Rooney free kick may have been a brief highlight, but the manner of the defeat started the alarm bells ringing.

"I just told the players the way I would have told them at any other club if I didn't think they were doing well," Moyes said. "They're good players, they're good pros, they know when they're bang at it and when they're not."

Manchester United 1-2 West Brom, Premier League, Sept. 28, 2013

From humiliation on one level to another on a completely different scale. Moyes' shaky start continued as West Brom secured their first win at Old Trafford since 1978, leaving United to reflect on making their worst start to a league campaign in 24 years. Moyes refused to buckle, though, insisting they could still get things right.

"You're always going to have bad results in football, it is how you deal with them," he said. "We will move on and look forward to the next one."

Manchester United 0-1 Everton, Premier League, Dec. 4, 2013

Moving on was something United certainly failed to do as Everton returned to Merseyside with all three points after Bryan Oviedo struck four minutes from time. Moyes' former club took with them another landmark: their first win at Old Trafford in 21 years, and the travelling fans made the most of it as they taunted the Scot on the touchline.

Manchester United 0-1 Newcastle, Premier League, Dec. 7, 2013

Just four days later, languishing ninth in the table and 12 points off the top of the Premier League, United tumbled at home to Newcastle. Fortress Old Trafford had lost its intimidating aura completely by now, with Yohan Cabaye's goal giving Newcastle their first league win there since 1972.

Somehow, Moyes remained defiant. "I stand firm that we will be very close to [the title], and will be in and around at the end of the season," he said.

Manchester United 1-2 Swansea, FA Cup third round, Jan. 5, 2014

United hoped for better in 2014 but the crises kept coming as a Premier League defeat by Tottenham at Old Trafford on New Year's Day was followed by the loss of another silverware target.

Swansea secured something that could only just still be considered an upset by scoring in injury time, despite only having 10 players left on the pitch. Like West Brom, Everton and Newcastle, the Welsh side also ended an Old Trafford winless record, celebrating their maiden victory at the ground.

"When you lose games at any club, it's difficult," Moyes said, his tone finally revealing the turmoil behind the scenes. "We've got a big game on Tuesday."

Sunderland 2-1 Manchester United, League Cup, Jan. 7, 2014

The "big game" United now looked forward to was the opening leg in the semifinals of the League Cup, but it went from bad to worse. Defeat by Sunderland ensured United lost three matches in a row for the first time since 2001.

Sunderland, not surprisingly, celebrated another landmark win in a season that has seemed to deliver one for everyone -- except United. They brought to an end a run of 21 games without a win against United stretching back to 2000, and Moyes' side went on to lose in a penalty shoot-out in the second leg.

Olympiakos 2-0 Manchester United, Champions League last 16, first leg, Feb. 25, 2014

United, by this stage 11 points off a qualification place for next season's Champions League via the Premier League, saw their hopes of gaining entry by lifting the trophy seriously damaged in Greece, leaving nowhere for Moyes or his players to hide.

"I take responsibility, it's my team and I'll always front it up," Moyes said. "It was the worst we've played in Europe." They redeemed themselves spectacularly in the second leg through a hat trick from Robin van Persie, though he sustained a knee injury in doing so. He has yet to play again since.

Manchester United 0-3 Liverpool, Premier League, March 16, 2014

Twenty-four hours before his side's crunch match with their fierce rivals, Moyes indicated it would not be long before United were once again challenging for top honours. Even Brendan Rodgers, the man who has revitalised Liverpool and spearheaded their assault on the Premier League title, insisted his adversary would come good in the long run at Old Trafford.

Two Steven Gerrard penalties and a late goal from Luis Suarez, combined with the sending off of Nemanja Vidic, gave the away side a 3-0 victory. Fans started to question whether Moyes was the right man for the job, as did United's board. The whispers started; key boardroom figures raised the prospect of sacking Moyes for the first time.

"It's difficult to explain it," Moyes said of Liverpool's victory. "I felt as if the players were in good shape and good fettle going into it, but we didn't get to the standards required to beat Liverpool."

Manchester United 0-3 Manchester City, Premier League, March 25, 2014

The reaction to Liverpool came and went, but United responded. They beat Olympiakos at Old Trafford to advance to the last eight of the Champions League.

They impressively won away at West Ham to get their Premier League campaign back on track. Patrice Evra even said the spirit was back, and United were handed a tantalising European quarterfinal against Bayern Munich. United could rule Europe, Moyes said.

But any whispers of a turning point were quickly shushed by the blue side of Manchester. Edin Dzeko's double condemned United to a second successive league defeat at home, gave City the bragging rights for the second time this season and left Moyes wishing his side were something more.

"We have played a very good side, playing at the sort of level we are aspiring to," said Moyes. "We need to come up a couple of levels ourselves because at the moment we are not there."

Bayern Munich 3-1 Manchester United, Champions League quarterfinal second leg, April 9, 2014

The defeat to City saw some United fans club together and fly a banner stating "Wrong One: Moyes Out" over Old Trafford during their next home game. Moyes admitted that fans were entitled to do so, yet his side ran out 4-1 winners against Aston Villa. A spirited 1-1 draw against Bayern in the Champions League first leg followed and Moyes hailed his side, saying they would go toe-to-toe with their opponents in Munich.

And they did -- Patrice Evra fired United into a shock lead at the Allianz Arena, only for them to blow their advantage with another display of awful defending. Bayern cruised to victory and ensured Moyes would finish his first season in charge without a trophy.

"When you are a schoolboy, you get told 'Make sure once you score you don't concede right away,' and we conceded too quickly," Moyes said of United's lead lasting just 22 seconds.

Everton 2-0 Manchester United, Premier League, April 20, 2014

Moyes' first visit to Goodison Park since leaving his role as Everton manager was preceded by a fierce war of words with his replacement, Roberto Martinez. Moyes stated Martinez had reaped the rewards for his work, while the Spaniard indicated Moyes would be wrong to blame United's squad for their poor form.

Coach Phil Neville, who spent eight years playing in Everton blue, admitted United had failed this season. Leighton Baines, the player Moyes had spent his first summer in charge of United trying to pursue, said Everton played more positive under their new boss.

It showed; United were insipid. Everton mixed things up tactically by being quick to launch balls towards Romelu Lukaku, who made hay against centre-back pairing Phil Jones and Jonny Evans. A Baines penalty and a Kevin Mirallas strike sustained Everton's chances of a top-four finish and ended United's once and for all.

"We played very well in the first half," Moyes said afterwards. "To go in 2-0 down wasn't what I expected."

David Moyes sacked by Manchester United

Manchester United have confirmed that David Moyes has been dismissed as manager.
Moyes replaced Sir Alex Ferguson last summer on a six-year contract, but he has been relieved of his duties after Sunday’s 2-0 defeat to Everton, which left the club unable to qualify for the Champions League.

“The club would like to place on record its thanks for the hard work, honesty and integrity he brought to the role.”

Helen Ukpabio banned from the UK

Monday, April 21, 2014

Former actress and known hunter of child witches, Helen Ukpabio is said to have been deported from the United Kingdom.

Ukpabio, the founder of Liberty Foundation Gospel Ministries, was booted out after residents made petitions for her to be deported as her presence was believed to be a danger to children.

The self-acclaimed “Apostle” is known to have championed a cause against witches which resulted in the torture and brutalization of many children after she claimed in her book “Unveiling The Mysteries of Witchcraft” that “If a child under the age of two screams in the night, cries and is always feverish with deteriorating health he or she is a servant of Satan”.

Ukpabio was said to be in the UK to further propagate her theories on witchcraft and offer help to those at risk of being bewitched.

Reports have it that she has also been banned from re-entering the UK until further notice.

P-SQUARE: Game Over?

Rumours of the best music duo in African spliting filtered the airwaves earlier this week, though the media publicist of the group, Bayo Adetu denied any friction whatsoever in the Okoye camp, more stories have continued to spring up.

Only yesterday, Linda Ikeji reported that the tension in the Okoye camp is worse than she first reported, with Peter moving out of Squareville in Omole - where he has occupied with his brothers for several years to a house in Lekki Phase 1. According to the model turned blogger, Peter wants out of P-Square and they have gone as far as inviting a lawyer to divide their furtune.

This is what an industry person - who is obviously in the know - has to say:

"Yes they fought this week. Peter even left a mark on Paul's left eye. But the fight wasn't during rehearsal, which rehearsal? Peter has refused to do anything P-Square for weeks now. Forget that he was at his brother's wedding, things are not good between them right now. Peter wants out. He said Paul and Jude are sidelining him. That if they push out 200 songs, 199 would be songs Paul did. That people are now calling him a dancer in P-Square. Peter is really angry. He's even the cool and friendly one between the brothers but he is not himself right now. And then he accused his brother Jude of disrespecting his wife. Peter and Jude haven't spoken in weeks. Peter said Jude has been disrespecting Lola for years and he was done tolerating the BS. In fact Peter said that not only is Lola older than Jude, but that she's also pregnant and Jude was upsetting a pregnant woman. If you notice Jude didn't attend their wedding last year despite the fact that he was in Nigeria. Jude asked Peter why he didn't marry Lola when their mother was alive. Jude said it's his wife that is pushing him and they will need to pray for him. In fact nobody in the Okoye family likes Lola and they didn't support the marriage. The brothers are really angry at each other. The police is even involved. This week, either the commissioner of police or someone from his office visited their house.
The worst part is that they have invited lawyer to come and share property o. They want to share everything. The lawyer was at their house I think on Thursday. Peter said no more P-Square joint ventures. You know they own everything together, including a house in Omole, Parkview and Atlanta. Except something is done fast P-Square is about to be finished. But I know that people have been intervening and begging them to reconsider, that they are the biggest musical duo in Africa. Nobody will benefit if they split. The power to make money is in their togetherness.
It is Jude people are begging to keep the brothers together, but after what he tweeted yesterday, it may truly be over for P-Square. Jude has really tried for his brothers, for him to give up may mean it's over for them.
He practically put his entire life on hold for his brothers. Even sold his first car to shoot their first video but all that is about to come to an end like he tweeted. The only thing that can save the situation is if by a miracle Jude and Lola settle their differences but I don't see that happening"

We can only hope and pray that the brothers resolve their differences, at least, for their fans.

Nigeria Under Siege: Al-Qaeda, Al-Shabab backing Boko Haram – American Security Expert

A forensic criminologist and security co-ordinator at the American University of Nigeria, Dr. Lionel Von Frederck Rawlins has disclosed that Al-Qaeda and Al-Shabab terrorist organisations operating in the Islamic Maghreb and Arabian peninsula have been helping members of Boko Haram carry out their operations in Nigeria.
Rawlins, a US marine, who has worked in Europe, Africa, Asia, Central and South America, the Middle East and Far East as a counter-terrorist specialist, explained that Nigeria is under siege from terrorists from other lands.
He advised the Nigerian government to seek help in dealing with the insurgency.
According to him, the Nigerian government and people “only have to ask and they will send people.
“Some people believe that it is politically-motivated, may be it was and it started off that way; some believe it is religiously-motivated but I don’t know if that is true, I doubt it because Muslims are killing Muslims as well, not just Christians and non-Muslims; so if you want to look at it that way, it is a fallacy. What I would say is that it has got to the point where Boko Haram is killing people because Boko Haram is now proving a point that it can kill and get away with it. It has gone beyond religion, politics and ideology. It is a belief: ‘I can kill people and I can get away with it and let me show you I can do it.’ That is what it is now. It is a showman thing.
”A case in point: Look at what they did or tried to do in Giwa Barracks, Maiduguri recently. They tried to take on a military base! That alone tells you that these people are so emboldened they don’t even care about attacking a military base where soldiers are with weapons. It has gone beyond the normal talk of politics, religion, ideology or corruption. It is now showmanship: ‘I can kill you if I want and there is nothing you can do.’”
He explained that Boko Haram currently receives help from other globally recognised terror groups. What you have now are “insurgents from other countries. They are trained by Al-Qaeda, Al-Shabab and other groups. They send people here to train them. They also go for training and come back but you must remember, many terrorist groups are in this together and they don’t have problem training and supporting each other because they know that one day, they can call each other for help and when they do, they expect that you will come and help. They may say ‘we need you to help us get Mali, and then you send people because they trained you, gave you funding and all the resources you need, so that was done for you to pay back. So, you are correct to say they got people to help them. There are times also that survivors report that people who came with Boko Haram to kill them were speaking a language they have never heard before; nothing out of Nigeria, so they could be French, Spanish, something from Mali, CAR, Kenya, etc. They know instinctively that it is not a Nigerian tongue which proves the fact that they bring in outsiders.”
He said the Nigerian peoploe need to give military the support needed to boost morale. “We have to give the military the support that it needs and if you don’t give them that support, it is very demoralizing for the soldiers. It erodes their confidence and their morale to know that ‘I am fighting to defend you and then when Boko Haram insurgents are killed, you turn around and blame me, but when Boko Haram kill 50, you don’t say anything.’ You don’t go after them with the same force and the same venom; you don’t go after them like you go after the military when people are killed and to me, that is unfair. If you are going to do it, do it both ways. Tell the bad guys that what they are doing is wrong and tell the good guys as well that what they are doing is wrong when they go wrong.”

Jose offers 'congratulations'

Saturday, April 19, 2014

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho fired a thinly-veiled criticism at the officials after his unbeaten home record in the Premier League was ended in a 2-1 loss to Sunderland.
The Blues' title bid was severely dented on Saturday night as Fabio Borini converted a late penalty at Stamford Bridge after Cesar Azpilicueta tackled Jozy Altidore in the area.
There did appear to be contact between the players before referee Mike Dean pointed to the spot.
Mourinho, though, appeared frustrated by Dean's performance throughout, before also seemingly criticising referees' chief Mike Riley in a short and curt post-match interview with Sky Sports.
"I just want to say four things and I'm sorry because if you ask me more questions, I'll repeat exactly the same thing," said Mourinho, who had not spoken at his previous three press conference following his fine for entering the pitch during a defeat at Aston Villa last month.
"Congratulations to my players because they gave what they have and what they don't have.
"Congratulations to Sunderland, because they won.
"Congratulations to Mike Dean, because he made a fantastic performance.
"And congratulations to Mike Riley, because what they did during the season was fantastic for the way the championship is going.
"Congratulations to all of them - and I have nothing more to say."
Mourinho walked away from the post-match interview when asked to expand on his comments, and was similarly short on answers in the press conference that followed.
"I will not wait for your questions, I'm so sorry about it," said the Chelsea boss.
"But in four quick points I can say everything I want to say, so we are not going to waste time, because every question you can ask me I will answer exactly the same way.
"So we stick with four quick points.
"The first point is to congratulate my players, they did everything they could, they fought, they played from the first to the last second.
"And I think they deserve that.
"Sometimes we praise the players when we win, I think it's fair to praise my players after a defeat.
"Secondly, congratulations to Sunderland, it doesn't matter how or why, or in which way they won, but they won, they won the three points, and it's three fantastic points for them.
"So I think it's also fair to congratulate them.
"The third point, I want to congratulate again, but this time is Mike Dean.
"I think his performance was unbelievable, and I think when referees they have unbelievable performances I think it's fair also that managers we give them this.
"So fantastic performance, he came here with one objective, the objective of making a fantastic performance and he did that.
"And fourth, I think it's also fair, congratulations to Mike Riley, because he's the referees' boss, and what they are doing during the whole season is fantastic, especially in the last couple of months, especially in matches involving the teams that were in the title race, it's absolutely fantastic.
"And I also congratulate Mr Mike Riley, thank you."

One not to take me out of earth

   The next moment

   I was in flames

   Fire that licked my bones

Also licking my tears as I cried

   Embittered whispers from Nyanya

   Listen!

4.My baby cried

   I brought out my breast

   She giggled

   Her lips enveloping my nipples

   I had no gold

   But I’ve got breastmilk

   She smiled as she sucked

   I,fulfilled as a mother

   Then the blast

   We both became ashes

   The wind blew

Our ashes blown into Nigeria’s sad atmosphere

   Embittered whispers from Nyanya

   Listen!

5.I sell gala

   Sometimes with lacasera

   Mama woke me up

So I can maximize the day’s profit

‘Nyanya can be busy you know’

   She,teasing me,chipped

   I rushed out

Saw my colleagues at the park

   A passenger called me

   I entered the bus

As I delivered her gala & drink

   The earth shook

   We became history

   We became a sad story

   Where we should find succour

   Gory death became our prize

   Embittered whispers from Nyanya

   Listen!

6.Where smiles were shed

   Where bargains were made

   That was Nyanya

   Listen!

   Where innocent Nigerians

   Gathered to pursue meaning

   Where the bombs roared

   And bones were consumed

   That was Nyanya

   Listen!

   Where evil temporarily reigned

   Enslaving beautiful hearts

   Where sons were lost

   And daughters perished

   Where dreams were stabbed

   And Nigeria’s peace got haemorrhaged

   That was Nyanya

   Listen!

7.What has Nigeria done?

To deserve this baptism of hate

What is the offence of our daughters

That they should be dragged into Sambisa forest

   At Nyanya

   We became victims

   At the hands of men

   That years back cuddled us

   Now’s the time

To discard the quest for power

   Now’s the time

To tear the flags of your different political parties

   Nigeria is hurting

   Nigeria is bleeding

   The evil warlords are watching

   Smiling at your confusion

   If you fail to unite

   All to fight as one

More bombs will consume the innocent

More children will be carted away

   Please stop this horror

   Help Nigeria heal again

   Embittered whispers from Nyanya

   Listen!

NB: Dedicated to the victims of the Nyanya park terrorist attack, to their families, to Nigerians.
