Nigerian Government ranks worst government in the world

The Jos bombings of Tuesday, May 20th, 2014 which claimed more than 200 lives according to latest counts, have pushed Nigeria to formally occupy the first position in the ranking of world nations with the worst governments in history.

Other criteria which recently moved Nigeria up the list include:

Corruption: With Nigeria’s leadership admitting that they could not account for up to or more than $20 billion dollars oil revenue earnings discovered missing in a single 18 month period examined; the nation’s finance minister admitting this to BBC and the official government engagement of Price water house international firm further confirming this financial mishap, Nigeria secured its position as the most haplessly corrupt nation in the post world war history of the world.

Poverty: The rebasing of Nigeria’s economy, setting Nigeria as the largest economy in Africa, while revealing the true economic position of Africa’s largest nation, simultaneously re-certified Nigeria as the nation in the top position for worst leadership in social welfare and opportunities for the people. With 70% of the nation living under a-dollar-a-day, economically factored, Nigeria has the poorest people of any nation in the world today.  With the rebased economy rating, Nigeria has the most unparalleled HDI (Human Development Index) to revenue and economy ratio of all nations. Poorest people in the Nigeria case, is derived from or correlates with poorest leadership.

Pollution: Despite new technologies of oil exploration, like fracking, pushing some ‘developed’ nations further down the chart due to increasing confirmed cases of drilling-related health hazards, Nigeria has secured its position as having the most polluted shore-line in the world, thanks to serial worst administrations. Gas flaring continues in Nigeria till date. Bayelsa state which currently reports 40 oil spills per month established itself as the most polluted piece of land on the earth in post world war history, approximating Hiroshima and Nagasaki and more recently Fukushima, in proportion of catastrophe. Nigeria ties with Japan as the two nations with the greatest levels of ecological pollution, though in terms of leadership attribution, Nigeria maintained the top spot.

Terror: Nigeria in 2014 reported the most dangerous events of high sea piracy in the world. Nigeria in the end of 2013 and 2014 surpassed Mexico in kidnapping, recording the cruelest and second highest single abduction event in recent history. In the end of 2013 and the first quarter of 2014, Nigeria surpassed Syria, Libya, Iraq and Central African Republic, CAR in worst and most deadly acts of terrorism and sectarian violence. The Nyanya bombing was ranked the fifth worst bombing of its kind in world history post 1970 by the Mineta Transportation Institute (MTI). The Jos bombing with over 200 reported dead in one attack, is second only to 9/11 and the disputed Syria chemical weapons attack. In combined values, with between 40-80,000 killed in the four years of largely unchecked Boko Haram violence, with over 4000 killed in the first quarter of 2014 alone, Nigeria has fast outpaced the world in deadly terror. Nigeria’s leadership in December of 2013 secured the world top position in insecurity and failure to protect life and discourage terror. Current rankings put Nigeria’s leadership second only to Hitler after surpassing Saddam Hussein, in the current century in terms of deliberate and government supervised internal wastage of life.

Boko Haram Is A CIA Covert Operation – Wikileaks

This is an article I found on The Africa Renaissance News According to the report, the CIA is responsible for the plague we know as Boko Haram. Read an excerpt of the report below...

We have already been regaled with reports provided by the Wikileaks which identified the US embassy in Nigeria as a forward operating base for wide and far reaching acts of subversion against Nigeria which include but not limited to eavesdropping on Nigerian government communication, financial espionage on leading Nigerians, support and funding of subversive groups and insurgents, sponsoring of divisive propaganda among the disparate groups of Nigeria and the use of visa blackmail to induce and coerce high ranking Nigerians into acting in favour of US interests.

But beyond what we know from the Wikileaks report, what many Nigerians do not know is that US embassy’s subversive activities in Nigeria fits into the long term US government’s well camouflaged policy of containment against Nigeria the ultimate goal of which is to eliminate Nigeria as a potential strategic rival to the US in the African continent.

According to wikileaks article on ACRI which potrays the ACRI as a counterweight which was set up by the US to instigate mistrust in Nigerian dominated ECOMOG; the sense of nigerian led anti-american opposition was first observed in during the bush administration, when nigeria without support from the west or UN led the first ever african intervention force on peacekeeping mission to Liberia while at the same time engaging serria loene in forced peace combat, with predominantly nigerian troops( over 90%) being spearheaded by then Military ruler Gen. Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida.

In this regard, the report further recalled Nigeria’s role in helping to liberate the southern African countries in the 70’s and 80’s in clear opposition and defiance to the interests of the United States and its western allies which resulted in setback for Western initiatives in Africa at the time.

Both concluded with a recommendation that the US Government in conjunction with its allies should seek to contain the growing influence of Nigeria in the sub-region by forming a parallel organization to ECOMOG. But in order not to unduly alarm and antagonize Nigeria which the report admitted still had considerable influence in the region, the US government was advised to go about this using quiet diplomacy and instigating false propaganda.

Years, later the CIA while tactically taking advantage of growing sectarian violence in Nigeria, recruited jobless Islamic extremist through Muslim and other traditional leaders offering training indirectly to the group by use of foreign based terror groups. A detailed analysis is done below:

However, there many dots left to be joined together to find the truth;

• In December 2011 an Algerian based CIA wing gave out 40 million Naira as a planned Long term partnership with boko haram with PLEDGE TO DO MORE.
• On June 29, 2009 a United States cable leaked by wikileaks showed that the CIA public predicted the onslaught of deadly terrorist attack by boko haram, i.e even 2 months before boko haram started terrorist actions.
• Disregarding advices from experts the us armed Saudi Arabia who in turned armed Libyan rebels that in turn armed Malian rebels and Boko Haram, a chain tactically predicted by the CIA.  US=>SA=>LIBYA=>BOKO HARAM.
• Spy files a wikileak document indicates that SS8 a surveillance company in the us was producing viruses(Trojans) that hijack individual computer and phones (iPhone,blackberry,android etc), take over the device, record its every use, movement,GPS info and even sights and sounds in the room it is in. This software was however bought by the and used as tools by the CIA in its eavesdropping games on Nigerian politicians, thus detecting corrupt practices. As good as that may sound, but whichever politician refused to hijack policies in favour of the US was made to face financial espionage or “corruption charges”.
• It is however remarkably outstanding or rather coincidental how Nigerian SSS agents personal information,including address,bank information,mobile numbers,etc were leaked and published on the web when the sss where jointly working with the CIA to gather intelligence boko haram thus compromising the identity/security of the agents as well as that of their family.
• it is also important to note the “miraculous escape of kabiru Sokoto” from a secret top security facility whose location was known to the CIA.

In the aftermath of the unfortunate bombings and sporadic attacks that took place in Damaturu the Yobe State capital and environs on the last Sallah Day, the Embassy of the United States in Nigeria hastily put out a public statement declaring that such like bombings should be expected in three well known hospitality establishments in Abuja the nation’s capital.

To discerning observers not only did that score high marks for bad manners as that was hardly what a nation still grieving and coming to terms with its losses expected from a supposedly friendly nation, but that the US embassy was being economical with information on what it actually knew about the incident, and more significantly, the role the US government itself has been playing in the whole gamut of acts of destabilization against Nigeria.

In an interview with Punch published today, Port Harcourt first son, Duncan Mighty, called some of his colleagues out, saying a lot of them lead fake lives and lie about their acquisition...

“A lot of Nigerian artistes’ lead fake lives. They claim to be what they are not, just because they want to meet up their peers and fellow artistes. I live in my own house (it has a swimming pool, lounge and studio) and I make bold to say I didn’t buy it. I built it from the scratch. But a lot of these artistes will claim they bought a house for N300m or N400m. But I didn’t spend up to that amount to build my house. If you have that amount, say N500m, you don’t go and buy one property. There are many things to do with money. They claim they have state-of-the-art cars, but that is not my priority. I have choice cars, but it takes a lot of money to maintain such cars.”

70 Boko Haram Members Killed By Vigilante Group In Adamawa

Over 70 Boko Haram members have been killed and over seven captured by members of vigilante group in Madagali, Adamwa on Friday, May 16, 2014.

The terrorists were ambushed as they went in search for food before heading out for a major attack in the area, which is usually carried out at night.

The vigilante group acted after they were tipped off by a local food vendor that the Islamist extremists were coming to get food.

As soon as the insurgents, who were more than 100, showed up in the village to pick up their food, the vigilantes attacked them, shooting and killing many of them.

Earlier this week, a vigilante group in Kalabalge, Borno state ambushed and killed scores of Boko Haram members.

Man Sues Close-up Toothpaste After Failing To Attract Single Girls

A 26-year-old man has filed a case against the company, which owns the Close Up toothpaste brand, for ?cheating? and causing him ?mental suffering?.?The plaintiff has cited his failure to attract any girl at all even though he?s been using Close-Up toothpaste for over seven years now. Close-Up advertisements suggest that the product helps men in instantly attracting women by letting their breaths out.

Anthony Olatunfe, the petitioner, also surrendered all his used, unused and half-used Close-Up tubes to the court, and demanded a laboratory test of the products. Anthony was pushed to take this step when his female boss slapped his face when he tried to kiss her after brushing his teeth with the Close-Up toothpaste.

Where is the Close-Up effect? I've been waiting for it for over seven years. Right from my college to now in my office, no girl ever agreed to even go out for a tea or coffee with me, even though I'm sure they could smell my breath. I always brush my teeth with so much close up gel to make sure the girls get turned on by my fresh breath as they usually show on TV.

Anthony claims that he had been using the toothpaste as per the company's instructions even since he first bought them. He argued that if he couldn’t experience the Close-Up effect despite using the product as directed, either the company was making false claims or selling fake products.

I had always stored them in cool and dry place, and kept them away from direct light or heat. I brushed my teeth morning and night. I did everything they instructed. I even beat up my 5-year-old nephew for coming near my toothpaste, as they had instructed to keep away from children's reach. And yet, all I get is a slap from my boss? Anthony expressed his frustration.

Unilever has officially declined to comment on the case citing the subject to be sub judice, but sources reveal that the company is worried over the possible outcomes of the case. The company might argue that Anthony was hopelessly unattractive and unintelligent and didn’t possess the bare minimum requirements for the Close-Up effect to take place. Officially Unilever has not issued any statement, but legal experts believe that they could have tough time convincing the court.

Unilever might be tempted to argue that Anthony is too ugly to attract a girl, but it is very risky. There is no data to substantiate the supposition that unattractive and unintelligent men don't attract women. In fact some of the best looking women have been known to marry and date absolutely unattractive guys. I'd suggest that the company settles this issue out of court. Barrister Festus Keyamo said.

Pastor Chris Okotie writes on Boko Haram, Chibok girls

Former Presidential aspirant and Head Pastor of the Household of God Church Pastor Chris Okotie today May 14th posted an article on the missing Chibok Girls, state of the nation and the international help Nigeria is receiving in the fight against Boko Haram, on his Facebook page.

In the piece, Rev Okotie said Nigeria should not accept help from Israel to avoid Islamizing the terror war because of Israel's long drawn conflict with the Arab nations with whom our predominantly northern brothers share a common faith. Continue below..

"In modern times, apart from Adolf Hitler’s Holocaust which killed an estimated six million Jews; the more recent ethnic cleansing in the Balkans and the Rwandan versions, no other massacre of the innocent surpasses the Boko Haram killings in brutality. These guys have kidnapped a part of this nation. We need a new strategy to rescue it. Thank God, First World leaders with experience and proven competence in counter-insurgency have responded to President Goodluck Jonathan’s call for assistance.

What makes Boko Haram’s case puzzling is that the group targets its own people, and especially weak demographic groups like women and children that are normally spared, along with civilian populations, in conventional warfare. Although, terrorists hardly respect this convention, even groups like Al-Qaeda do not attack their own people, expect where they establish a case of betrayal by fifth columnists within their ranks.

The unbelievable cruelty of the Boko Haram insurgents as evidenced by the recent abduction of more than 200 girls in a school hostel in Chibok, Bornu State ordinarily would have shocked the sponsors of the Islamists, if they have human hearts in their chests. Nothing suggests that they do, otherwise, they’d have called the fighters they unleashed on this nation to order.

At the time of writing the United States, Britain, France and China had pledged support for Nigeria’s efforts to help track Boko Harm and rescue these defenseless girls. This has given hope to Nigerians that, at last, a greater, more realistic action is in the offing.
It may be too late for the falcons to hear the falconer. If you ride the back of the tiger to power, it would devour you if it has nothing more to eat. That is the case of Boko Haram. Those who use the hoodlums to rig themselves to power abandoned them when they finally left power.

Then, the thugs, abandoned to their own devices were hijacked by politicians of diverse tendencies, and pseudo-Islamic militants, who use the renal youths to pursue dubious objectives. As disparate criminal elements infiltrated the group, it became amorphous, leaderless and difficult to control.
The killing of the original leader of Boko Haram, Mohammed Yusuf allegedly in police custody provoked the initial reprisal attacks against the police. Gradually, other targets were being hit. As the sect made headlines it attracted jihadist partners from neighbouring countries like Chad, Niger, Sudan and Mali. Arms from the failing state of Libya after the death of Col. Maummar Ghadaffi fell into the hands of these mercenaries, who have strengthened Boko Haram, to the extent that members of the terror group are now strong enough to frustrate our army.

That is why arms and ammunitions captured by Nigerian security forces from Boko Haram fighters appear to be more sophisticated than those our soldiers use against them. We must understand the forces we are dealing with before we could defeat them.

It is doubtful if the terrorists have a well structured command and control system like Al-Shabab of Somalia or Al-Qaeda – in the – Islamic Maghreb, which almost over-ran the Malian government, before they were stopped by an African intervention force led by French troops.
If we must destroy Boko Haram, we need foreign help in the shape of highly sophisticated intelligence which the aforementioned Western powers who have experience in combating global terrorism have started offering. Some of their personnel are already here; but the President must act with greater decisiveness on this terror war. We need help from anywhere we can get it except Israel. Israel is out of it to avoid Islamisizing the terror war because of the former’s long drawn conflict with the Arab nations, with whom our predominantly northern brothers share a common faith.

Therefore, we must carefully select our foreign partners in the war against Boko Haram to avoid introducing international rivalries into it. President Goodluck Jonathan should summon the political will. With foreign help we could fish out the sponsors of the terrorists, and pre-empt the attacks before they are launched. The kidnapping of those young girls at Chibok has set a world record; it is a monumental disgrace, it strikes at the soul of our nation.

As it were, Nigeria has been kidnapped. At no time in our checkered history did we live like this, in perpetual fear of being attacked by criminal elements who are now on the prowl across the nation. For the first time, armed groups are laying siege on our military installations; invading army barracks and police formations, leaving heavy casualties in their trail. They appear capable of engaging our last line of defense as hit and run urban gorillas.

Now, after the failure of every trick in our books, we obviously have no answer to Boko Haram. We thought the terrorists have been dislodged permanently from Abuja and restricted to just the three North Eastern States of Bornu, Yobe and Adamawa, until the two recent Nyanya bombings. Chibok, which capped this brazen assault is a terrifying reality. How a group could abduct more than 200 girls from their school in an operation that required huge logistics, without being detected in an area where a State of Emergency is in force, is amazing. Nobody knows where they’d strike next, except the terrorists themselves.

This recurrent circle of condemnation after a strike and visits by the President or top government functionaries to bombed sites has continued for too long. While this may be a painful imperative for our leaders, what is lacking is a strategy to seriously decapitate the terrorists to such a point that their strike capability is completely destroyed. Effective intelligence could stop the terrorists in their tracks, while a swift, well organized counter-insurgency operation could annihilate them completely.
So far, we have not succeeded in containing the terrorists because, either our security forces are ill-equipped, incapable for some reasons, or are over-stretched to police the vast area they are supposed to cover. The Chibok tragedy and the frequent attacks on soft targets like motor parks, worship centres, markets and academic institutions ought to be prevented by the military authorities, because we all know that is the stock-in-trade of Boko Haram. Nobody should claim ignorance of the history of these attacks on such targets.

Boko Haram is a special problem in our country, and we require a special arrangement to move ahead of their logistics to nip them in the bud. Aside international assistance as earlier mentioned, localized knowledge of the terrains is an important factor. We have enough Para-military forces, which could be deployed to compliment efforts by our armed services, to provide adequate security coverage for our nation. There’s nothing wrong if we incorporate our ethnic militias and vigilante groups in this security arrangement because the nation is at war. And anyone, except the terrorists, could be a victim. When a nation is kidnapped, no effort should be spared to rescue it. So that’s why I join the rest of the world in saying: Bring Back Our Girls Now!

Russian model Irina Shayk has been criticized on social media, after posting a topless photo on twitter in support of the #BringBackOurGirls campaign for over 200 kidnapped Nigerian schoolgirls.

Real Madrid footballer, Cristiano Ronaldo’s girlfriend chooses a different approach to join millions of people all over the world to show her support for the #BringBackOurGirls campaign.

This topless Photo has earned her both positive and negative comments from her fans.

While some of her fans believes the lingerie model’s picture will create more awareness to the social media campaign, others think the model is insensitive to the plight of the abducted girls.

One of the comments she got was:

“Would you stand there naked wishing sorrow on the 9/11 victims? Would you do it for the tsunami? This is a tasteless attitude to 200 missing girls.”

Another posted:

“Pretty tasteless and disrespectful. No class. This is exactly the justification terrorists are probably using to prevent women from receiving ‘western education’.”

Civilians Kill 200 Boko Haram Terrorists In Borno Attack

An article by Dr Peregrino Brimah on ENDS.ng reads:

The rise of the civilians against terror took the Boko Haram saga to a new turn in the early hours of Tuesday morning when citizens of Rann, headquarters of Kala-Balge local government area, Borno northeast, who had fore-knowledge of an impending Boko Haram attack, decided not to remain sitting ducks but prepared for battle.

According to reports we received from Civilian sources in Borno, over 400 Boko Haram terrorists stormed Rann and neighboring villages in the early hours of Tuesday, with their usual convoy of hilux trucks, motorcycles and APC (Armored Personnel Carriers) only to meet villagers ready for them this time. The civilian villagers pounced on the terrorists with mere rocks, bows and arrows, local Dane guns, swords and “charms,” but as we have earlier reported, Boko Haram are more frightened of Civilian-JTF than they are of the Nigerian army, and run from the civilians even if they—the civilians—only have knives. The battle raged till the sun came up and ended with the civilians killing over 200 Boko Haram terrorists, capturing several prisoners and recovering several of their vehicles.

From an account of a civilian who participated in defending the neighborhoods, as reported in DailyTrust, “Our people also recovered over 70 motorcycles that the attackers came with. They also collected 2 Hilux vehicles and an Armoured Personnel Carrier (APC) while some of the attackers were captured alive.

This amazing victory of good over evil, promises a new direction in the war against terror that has wrecked hundreds of farming villages in the north of Nigeria in the last four years, largely unchecked by State security. Civilians determined to arrest a situation they believe the Nigerian security services has permitted to destroy their farming villages in various towns in the north east, have apparently decided take up a fighting posture against Boko Haram terrorists; no longer waiting for a military response that hardly ever comes.

Last week, Boko Haram terrorists ravaged Gondura Ngala town, freely without any hindrance from the Nigerian military drafted to the north, and decimated the entire town, killing over 300 residents. On April 14th, Boko Haram stormed Chibok and abducted over 200 girls. In that episode, Amnesty International reported that the Nigerian security services were fully informed of the impending attack, by civilian vigilantes and other Intel, several hours prior, yet did not alert or defend the village nor engage the terrorists for a full eight hours of the abduction, looting and destruction of the village.

A mother from Chibok reportedly told CNN, that “if the army is not ready to fight Boko Haram, then we will fight them ourselves.” Apparently that day has come.

The Civilian-JTF and ENDS.ng civil rights group is pressing the Nigerian government for the civilians to have the right and government support, to bear arms, to end the terror scourge once and for all. The government is yet to officially respond to this urgent request as villagers remain at the mercy of Boko Haram terrorists.

The Shehu of Bama is reported to have ordered his citizens to go get guns, after his town was completely decimated twice by Boko Haram terrorists with no military response for the full eight hours of carnage. More towns are expected to follow suit as the nations leadership sleeps and permits terrorists the largely unhindered freedom to operate, massacre and destroy Nigeria’s farmers and northern farming villages.

Asa of ‘Jailer’ fame has announced she will be dropping a new album.

Asa whose last effort ‘Beautiful Imperfection’ coveted a lot of fans has indicated she might be releasing an album on the 17th  of September.

Asa whose real names are Bukola Elemide took to her instagram page to share the news. The songstress who hasn’t released an album in four years will be dropping a new project titled ‘Bed of stone’.

Her fan page suggests she will be having a concert at The Cicada, 120, bld rochechouart, 75018 Paris 18.

Prospective Corp Members To Henceforth Collect Mobilisation Call-up Letters Online

National Youth Service Corp, NYSC, has revealed that henceforth, corpers will now collect their mobilisation call-up letters for orientation online.

The exercise is aimed at alleviating prospective corps’ members from travelling from their states of domicile after graduation to their schools in order to collect the call-up letters.

Director-Genera l, DG, of the NYSC, Brig.-Gen. Johnson Olawumi, gave the hint yesterday, during the pre-mobilisation seminar in preparation for 2014 Batch B in Enugu.

Oluwumi said: “It is for automation for mobilisation process for NYSC. The mobilisation process will be done through automation that a graduate from a school in Sokoto, for example, would not have to go to Sokoto to collect his call-up letter. All that will be done online.”

The exercise is expected to begin with 2014 Batch B prospective corpers.

Actor Bob-Manuel Udokwu joins Gov Obiano’s cabinet as SSA on entertainment

Nollywood actor, Bob-Manuel Udokwu has been appointed a Special Assistant on Entertainment by Anambra State Governor, Willie Obiano. He made the announcement via a BB message yesterday.

The message read:

"The governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano has appointed me Bob-Manuel Udokwu (FCAI) his Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on the Movie/Entertainment Industry with immediate effect" 

Bob-Manuel was also the former Special Adviser on Entertainment to the immediate past Governor of Anambra state, Peter Obi. This new governor retained him. Congrats to him.

Jungle Justice: Suspected kidnapper stoned to death in Lagos

According to reports from PM News, unidentified man suspected to be a kidnapper was stoned to death by an angry mob in Iyana Ipaja, Lagos. The suspect allegedly kidnapped a 4-year old girl at Lagger Street, Alimosho bus stop, Iyana Ipaja. He was brutally beaten and stoned before the police at Gowon Estate Division intervened. The police officers rushed him to Igando General Hospital where he reportedly died because of the injuries he sustained. According to an eye witness, as the suspect was taking the victim away, he was accosted by the residents who knew the girl and asked him where he was taking her to. The witness said when the suspect did not give a satisfactory answer, he was searched and four phone sim cards were found on him and a jackknife. The angry mob suspected him to be a kidnapper and descended on him. A team of policemen who raced to the scene to rescue the suspect was also attacked and injured. The Lagos State Police Command Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Mrs Ngozi Braide, in a press release on  5 May, said policemen attached to Ipaja Division responded to a distress call at Adefemi Junction, Ipaja, Lagos  and  rescued an alleged kidnapper, Samsondeen Yusuf, who was about to be lynched by a mob. The suspect was seriously injured and is now receiving treatment at Oke-Odo General Hospital. On the same day, a team of policemen attached to Ikotun Division responded to a distress call at Ile-Iwe Bus Stop, Egbe, Lagos over a case of kidnapping. It was reported that the policemen rescued a woman, Chinaya Nancy Okafor, who was stripped naked and was about to be lynched by a mob for allegedly attempting to kidnap a child. Police sources said there was no investigation to determine whether the suspects actually committed the offence. A senior police officer noted that the new trend of jungle justice will  hamper the police from investigating such cases to bring those involved to justice, adding that innocent persons may be killed.

Breaking: Boko Haram bombs bridge linking Nigeria and Cameroun

Boko Haram have reportedly bombed the sole bridge linking Borno State, Nigeria & Cameroun. The small bridge which is located at the border town of Gamboru Ngala, was bombed today, cutting off some residents of the area from their families who live in Cameroon.

At least 30 people were killed this evening following the attack, with many reportedly still trapped under the ruble.

Residents say the only option left for people traveling to and from Gamboru, is to go into Banki near Bama local government area of Borno into Cameroon and later enter Gamboru from another Cameroonian village.

This is the same area where over 300 people were killed by Boko Haram on Monday.
