Hon. Salisu Musa Tsafe had on Monday engaged the senior driver in a physical combat over the woman identified as Madam Saratu Kaura-Namoda. Reportedly, one of his fingers was almost bitten off by the driver. According to claims, Idris had paid the woman's brideprice.
Narrating the incident to newsmen,, Tsafe denied having an affair with the lady and said rather, they have a long time business engagement and official friendship. He said:
“I called her on Sunday from Kaduna to inform her that I was coming to Gusau the next day and she pleaded that we should meet specially to discuss about the money she owed me.”Tsafe disclosed that it was during his visit to her shop at Tudun Wada Gusau, the state capital that he found his customer in company of the governor’s driver sitting in his tinted glass car after which he drove away to allow his turn for usual business.
“A few minutes after Mallam Idris left, he turned back to park by my car and wound down his glasses to accuse me of visiting his girlfriend. I replied him that she is not my girlfriend and has no any relationship that is not legitimate, we only interact as business partners,” he stressed.The Majority Leader said the driver continued with the insult but he could not engage in physical combat in the public as requested by Mallam Idris.
“The governor’s driver later requested that we should go to a bush to slug it out which I angrily agreed and drove after him. He parked as he reached the Low Cost Housing Estate which is a few meters away from the controversial girl’s shop. I did the same to confront him during which he stretched his fist at me, so I had to fight for self-defence. He bit my finger until I gave him formidable blows on his forehead,” Tsafe narrated.He said the Assistant Commissioner of Police in-charge of Criminal Investigation Department, CID, at the state headquarters had intervened into the matter and warned the governor’s driver that since he did not pay any bride price for his controversial girlfriend then, he had no right to stop her from mingling with anybody.
When contacted by NigeriaPilot, the governor’s driver said that the lawmaker should be the one to speak on the matter.
The State's Speaker, Alhaji Sanusi Rikiji, has now directed the committee to invite all parties involved, including the woman, security agents, eyewitnesses and other relevant bodies, warning that any invitee who failed to appear before the committee, headed by the Chief Whip, Alhaji Abdulmumini Isa, would be seen and treated as a law breaker. The committee is expected to submit its report on June 27.
Police Corporal kills Inspector, homeless girl and self over love

The incident occurred yesterday evening in the Karu Town, near the CBN Junction, when the corporal, who claimed he was interested in the recharge card seller, simply known as Chidinma, saw the inspector and the recharge seller sitting together over some bottles of soft drinks.
According to an Leadershipng, the corporal alighted from a vehicle and accosted the inspector and the recharge card seller. While he accused the inspector of encroaching into his territory, he accused
the lady of unfaithfulness, saying he had invested in the girl. The inspector ,who regarded the corporal’s allegation as an affront, ordered him to leave the place immediately or get himself dealt with. The corporal was said to have been enraged and threatened that he was going to kill the recharge card seller so that none of them would have her.
The inspector did not take the threat lightly and warned the corporal not to do any thin silly or he would have himself to blame. The corporal, still fuming with rage walked away from the inspector and the recharge card seller. Unknown to the inspector, the corporal corked his AK-47 rifle, walked to the duo lovebirds and killed the girl with one shot.
Before the inspector could cork his own riffle, the corporal also shot and killed him instantly. Looking bemused, the corporal aimed the riffle at his own head and killed himself with one bullet.
Pandemonium was said to have broken out in the town as residents and passers-by thronged the place to take a glimpse of the three slain persons lying in a pool of their blood. A team of police personnel later came and evacuated the bodies of the slain. The recharge card seller was identified as a poor homeless girl who was taking refuge in a popular church in Karu Town before the incident.

Chukwuogo, weekend, Col. Akonobi said:
‘’To me, this topic (bride price) has been dealt with in the past by Ndigbo, who came out with a reduced bride price, to enable our young boys marry our young girls.”Akonobi also cautioned that men should study their proposed wives closely and longer before engaging into marriage because “once you marry, no one else can put it asunder.”
Nnewi was agog as dignitaries from all works of life trooped to the residence of Chief Onwugbenu for the memorable event. The dignitaries who were from both the military, political and manufacturing circles, including Col Akonobi, Hon. Clement Nwankwu, former member of the House of Representatives; Chairmen and Chief Executive Officers of Gabros International Limited and Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Limited, Chief Gabriel and Innocent Chukwuma respectively, among others.
The issue of high bride price was discussed extensively at the occasion. Hon. Nwankwu, in his own speech, prayed that Chief Onwugbenu and his wife would live long to enjoy the fruits of their children, especially those who married from outside their areas.
Also, speaking, Mrs. Onwugbenu expressed gratitude that her daughter’s hand was given out in marriage and prayed that her in-laws who came all the way from Awka to marry her daughter, would go back home safely. Father of the bride, Onwugbenu, in his own speech, said he had already blessed his daughter and her husband to go and make a good home.
On the bride price controversy in Igbo land, Onwugbenu declared:
“We do not charge money as bride price for someone to marry my daughter. To me, what is important is that my daughter should live in peace with her husband. Let her husband’s family members accept her as part and parcel of their family.”

Olayiwole told the court that his wife deceived him to marry her knowing that she could not bear him a child.
He accused his wife, who had failed to appear in court after being summoned several times, of living a false life, frequent fighting and threatening his life, Vanguard reports.
“My wife had been deceiving me since we got married I have never seen her pass through menstruation. My wife does not have any vagina opening.He pleaded with the court’s president to dissolve his three-year-old marriage which has nothing to show for both now and in future.
Anytime I ask her for sex, she would give an excuse to back up her refusal. Meanwhile, we have been praying to God to give us children.
My wife did not tell me anything about her condition before we got married, until February this year that she confessed to me that she had never experienced menstruation in her life.

Not only that, Kehinde was delivered of a baby boy in the early hours of March 28, 2015. The baby, however, brought strangeness as he had two teeth protruding from the gum in its lower jaw. He however died on Sunday, March 29 without any ill health pinned to him.
For four years, Kehinde said she had to deal with a strange spirit which always came to her in a dream in form of a snake. She said the snake would turn into a Fulani man who would have sex with her, and afterwards transform into a snake, before crawling away.
She disclosed that she had to leave Niger State in October 2014 for Ogbomoso, when she suddenly found herself pregnant without having physical intercourse.
She was, however, full of joy that she received deliverance from demonic possession through the prayers and deliverance sessions she went through at one church in Ogbomoso. She expressed appreciation to the founder of the church, Apostle Johnson Olayinka Afolabi a.k.a. Okoto Jesu, that God used him to set her free from satanic bondage.
Narrating her story, Kehinde told Tribune:
“My parents live in Niger but I am from Ogbomoso, Oyo State. I was troubled by an unseen spirit. I would see the snake beside me. The snake would then turn to a Fulani man who would have intercourse with me. It started about four years ago.
After the intercourse, the Fulani man would turn to a snake again and leave. Whenever I woke up, I would not see any semen indicating that I had sexual intercourse. But in the dream, he would climax and release in me.
I have never had any man who wooed me in real life and looked like the man. His face was strange. The Fulani man also used to appear to me in real life, but I was the only person who would see him. He dared not see me with any man, even if the person was my brother. He would frown and warn me off the man. This would make me change my countenance to whomever I was talking with.
Also, if I wanted to tell my parents what I was experiencing, he would appear and warned me against revealing anything. That was why the experience I was having spanned some years.”Her life story changed when she discovered she was pregnant towards the end of 2014. According to her,:
“I noticed that I was pregnant in October 2014. My stomach started protruding and the change in me was noticed by my mother and neighbours. They asked whether I was pregnant and I said no. Though I did not see my menses, my thinking was that it was a temporary reaction and that it would still come since I didn’t have sexual intercourse.
When I went to a hospital to carry out a pregnancy test, it was positive. I was surprised because I did not have intercourse with any man. My parents did not believe me and were furious with me. I was so confused that I left Minna for Ogbomoso in Oyo State.
At Ogbomoso, someone told me about a church. I met the founder, Apostle Johnson Olayinka Afolabi a.k.a. Okoto Jesu. He asked me to go through marathon and dry fasting which spanned 41 days.
After the fasting, I did not feel anything in my tummy again. All I noticed was that my stomach would be flat whenever I woke up in the morning but it would protrude immediately I ate. I went through another fast in March after which I experienced my miracle.”The alleged miracle happened on March 27.
“At about 9 a.m., I started feeling stomach pain. Nothing was moving in me. I took some drugs and the pain subsided. It started again and I had to go to Prophet Afolabi . He prayed into water which he asked me to drink. The pain did not subside.
By evening, the pain had become unbearable. Prophet was told and he blessed water again and sent it to me through one of his pastors. After drinking the water the second time, I vomited. The vomit was smelly. That was all I knew as I passed out.
I did not know how I got to the hospital. I learnt Okoto Jesu poured water in the church bell and rang the bell seven times, commanding all evil spirits in me to vanish in the name of Jesus. I was then taken to a private hospital (names withheld).
I became fully conscious of my environment during delivery. The baby was also changing its skin to different colours after birth. My mother was present in the hospital. I noticed that the baby had two teeth in the lower jaw. I did not breast-feed the baby. But he died on Sunday, March 29.
Since then, I have been delivered and free from manipulations of the spirit world. I no longer see the snake or the Fulani man.”Kehinde also disclosed that she had familiar spirit and belonged to a group of destroyers (egbe abatenije), though she went through deliverance in 2011. Before the deliverance, she said she used to see herself in the midst of other children, with all of them adorning black garments.
She also revealed that she was initiated into a demonic group by four women whom she knew physically, though saying that two of them were dead. But all that had become a thing of the past, she stated.
The account of the girl was corroborated by Prophet Afolabi who is popularly called Okoto Jesu. According to him:
“When Kehinde was brought to our church, we pressed her stomach but couldn’t feel any pregnancy. We told her to go through dry fast.
She fasted for three days three times making a total of nine days and she did it without any adverse effect, which could not have been so if she was pregnant. She also observed white fast. The prayers offered her and the water given to drink turned the demons in her into a human form which came out as a baby.
Even when she was taken to the hospital, the nurse who examined her said she was still a virgin, which confirmed that she was indeed possessed. It was simply God at work.” Okoto Jesu said that a case like that of Kehinde had never happened in his church “though we have had cases of women who were pregnant for six, seven years but delivered when they got here.”Kehinde’s mother, Mrs Adegoke, told Sunday Tribune that Kehinde was a strange child right from when she was in her womb, saying that the twin brother died at birth. She disclosed that when Kehinde was undergoing deliverance session in 2011, she was rolling on the ground and screaming that witches should leave her alone as she was no longer willing to be their tool.

According to US media reports, when officers asked her why she had such a large amount of money she replied “I’m getting an abortion”. She was taken into custody for further questioning.
She told Baton Rouge investigators that the money was rightfully hers. Investigators asked her for employment information and she told investigators she had no job but that she was a “self employed entrepreneur”. She then told investigators she had multiple boyfriends and that’s how she earned her money.

A man who drove past a fatally injured woman on the side of the road in China, later found out that she was his mother.
The man, surnamed Zhang from Nanling county in the eastern province of Anhui, was driving to meet his mother when he passed a bloodied elderly woman lying in the road. After arriving at his mother’s house and realizing she was out, he rushed back to the scene, only to discover the terrible truth.
Mr Zhang called an ambulance but his mother died from her injuries on the way to the hospital.
Police later found a driver who admitted to the hit-and-run.
“My car does not have a dashboard recorder, so I didn’t stop,” Mr Zhang said, according to Anhui Business Daily.
Drivers or passersby in China are hesitant about helping strangers in need. In recent years there have been reports of money being extorted from the “good Samaritans” by the very people they try to assist.
With limited government health insurance, those unfortunate enough to get into accidents can face medical bills beyond their means. Last year, a man Wu Weiqing killed himself after the family of an injured elderly man he stopped to help accused him of knocking down the pensioner and demanded Mr Wu foot the bill.
There was another gruelling and now infamous case in 2011 in which 18 people passed a little child Wang Yue as she lay in the street after being hit by a car. Although someone eventually stopped to help, the two-year-old girl died of her injuries.

Recounting the incident that led to the victim’s death, the father of two said this was actually the second time he was visiting her house in Lagos. He said:
“I met her online sometime between September and October 2014 on facebook and we began to chat. Early this year she came to Sagamu to visit me and she spent two days with me. She actually came on Friday and went back to Lagos on Saturday.
I have an apartment where I work in Sagamu but my wife and children live in another apartment in Ibadan. I came to see her in Lagos around first week of March where I spent the weekend with her. This was the second time I visited her.
“On that fateful evening, we went out, spent quality time together and later retired to her apartment and slept. At about midnight, she began to complain about headache and then she started coughing. She coughed for a long while. It was when the coughing persisted that I had to go and knock on her next neighbours’ door to help me locate a nearby hospital, since I am not familiar with Lagos terrain.
So with the help of her neighbours, we went to a nearby private hospital (names withheld). After examining her condition, she was referred to the general hospital. At this time, her condition was getting worse, yet I did all I could to get her to the hospital.
With the assistance of her neighbours, we made it to Ifako General Hospital in Ogba. By the time they began to attend to her, she had passed on. I am not in any way responsible for her death.”It was learned that the suspect’s wife who works with Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, in Ibadan, was at the State Investigation Department, SCID, Panti, last Wednesday to see her husband.
Confirming the incident, Lagos Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Kenneth Nwosu, told Vanguard autopsy would soon be conducted to determine the actual cause of the victim’s death as investigation continues.

According to DailyMail, twice-divorced Sarah met Chris Olsen online 18 months ago. Though the mysterious man's accent has changed over time, and he keeps asking for money to be wired to various different countries, Sarah insists she is '95 per cent certain' that he is telling her the truth.
Despite his numerous attempts to come home so they can be together, she says, he keeps getting arrested on false charges.
In an interview with Dr Phil, Sarah explained that they speak for hours on the phone each day.
She described the moment they met on the internet:
'An attractive person came on there and said "wow you look like you wouldn't hurt a fly". I said "wow this guy's really handsome, I can't believe he's talking to me!"'
He told her he was called Chris Olsen, who hailed from Milan but moved to the U.S. 18 years ago.
Currently, she says, he is based in Africa on business, and has been for more than a year and a half. When they met he said he was in South Africa. After a brief stint in Nigeria, he relocated to Benin, Sarah explained.
Within seven weeks of meeting, he professed his love in a gushing email that referred to her as 'Mrs Olsen'. And days later, he sent the first of many requests for money.
She has now sent him $1.4 million in total for hotel bills, calling cards, lawyers, an expired visa, stolen credit cards, and bail. Last June, she even had to sell an apartment she owned to wire him $550,000 bail.
However, she believes he is trying his utmost to make it home.
Sarah concedes that there are suspicious elements to his story:
'When I first started talking to him,' she told Dr Phil, 'He sounded Italian now his accent's kind of changed I don't know if he's adapted to where he's at... in Benin.'But, she concludes: 'I still believe in love.'

Bianca Ojukwu has explained to a foreign based Journalist, Ekerete Udoh who now writes for Vanguard how her husband knew there would be crisis after his death and how he had made sure most of her inheritance is bequeathed to her by the Deed of Gift. So prior to his death, most of those gifts had already been registered under her name, she said.
Her words:
“I came into a deeply divided family – a lot of my husband’s relatives, I never saw physically before he died. Ojukwu Transport Company issues have been in court, they still have not resolved the issues concerning their father’s wealth, and this was an issue that started in 1966.. I am very comfortable if not for anything, for being the daughter of Chief C.C.Onoh, and my father took care of me, so the issue is not just about their family. But my husband was also a very serious person, so he anticipated all what is happening now by making sure that the most of my inheritance is bequeathed to me by the Deed of Gift, so prior to his death, most of those gifts had already been registered under my name.
But I will say that at the end of the day, it’s not a question of acquisition, all I am saying is that I am the only wife that he wedded, first and foremost, at the Kaduna registry as witnessed by his friend, the late Clement Akpamgbo, and we had a small reception after the event at Apo Quarters, in Abuja. After the registry marriage, we went through the Catholic marriage at Our Lady Queen of Nigeria Catholic Church in Abuja, and it was officiated by the then Arch Bishop Onaiyekan- then the Archbishop of Abuja Diocese.
We finally went through the full traditional marriage in my father’s compound that literally had all the traditional titled chiefs, paramount rulers of the community in attendance. The five governors of the eastern states at the time were present, ambassadors were in attendance. The Abuja wedding for instance was almost a state wedding. So the evidence is there for all to see, and when you are faced with that situation, and you have been properly married, and you have off springs from that union, but purely because they want to cheat your offsprings of their inheritance, in addition to other things, by virtue of their being the youngest, any mother would do all she can to protect them. They have hurled all sorts of vitriol and outlandish claims about me - the most laughable has been what they claim that I was not legally married to my husband. I mean, this is a marriage that took place in 1994 and not 1884; so the evidence, the videos, media reports are there for everyone to see.”
