Son kills father for not letting him go back to Hausa wife due to Boko Haram

Saturday, February 28, 2015

A 32-year-old man, Chinedu Emmanuel Nnalue (pictured above) is now cooling his heels behind bars following his arrest by detectives of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in the Anambra State police command for allegedly macheting his 59-year-old father, Nwafor Nnalue to death.

The state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Hosea Karma, who confirmed the development, disclosed that the suspect equally cut the deceased’s hands and legs while mutilating the body.

Saturday Sun gathered that the late Nwafor Nnalue was living in Damaturu, Yobe State with his family until they were forced to relocate to Anambra State as a result of the Boko Haram insurgency. It was also learnt that the suspect, Chinedu was brought up in Yobe State before he travelled to South
Africa and returned to join his family in the state where he eventually married an indigene.

Trouble, however, started after the entire family fled Yobe State and Chinelu’s wife refused to move with her two children along with the Nnalues to Anambra.

Soon after settling down in Anambra State, it was further gathered that Chinedu began to pester his father to allow him return to Yobe to join his wife and two kids.

The conflict got to a head on January 23, 2015, when the suspect allegedly waited for his mother, Mary and sister to go to the farm and thereafter went to his father where he was sleeping and butchered him.

Giving an insight into the incident, Mrs. Mary Nnalue said:

“My late husband and my children were all living in Yobe State and it was because of the Boko Haram insurgency that we relocated back to Anambra State in 2006. My son, Chinedu Nnalue went to South Africa and later returned and joined us in Yobe State after which we all returned to Anambra State.
“Chinedu married a Hausa lady who has two children for him and she was carrying another pregnancy. She didn’t return with us to Anambra State because her parents refused to release her. This has led to a frequent conflict between my son and my husband but my husband refused him because of fear of Boko Haram. On the day of the incident, I saw my son, Chinedu sitting in his room and I asked him why he didn’t go for the morning mass and he didn’t give any reason.
“I went to the farm with my daughter and we got to know that Chinedu picked the cutlass which has been in his room for a long time and went upstairs to kill his father. It was the shout of my late husband that made us to rush back from the farm and when we got upstairs, Chinedu wanted to matchet his sister but she escaped.”
Sounding unrepentant, the suspect told Saturday Sun:
“I had to kill my father because he refused to give me permission to go back to Yobe to see my wife and two children who are still living in Damaturu. My wife is also heavy with pregnancy and I felt there is need for me to go and see her, but he refused, saying he didn’t want to lose me to Boko Haram.”
He said he was a Muslim when he was in Yobe State but returned to his original religion, Christianity when he relocated with his parents to Anambra.
“My father took me to a herbalist who told us that I should not go back to Yobe State. I used to see my father in my dream disturbing me not to go back to Yobe State because of Boko Haram and because of this I had to kill him”, he said.
CP Karma disclosed that the police had recovered the cutlass used by Chinedu to kill his father and that he would soon be charged to court for murder.

Wizkid’s car hasn’t been paid for, Genevieve owns her Ghana mansion in her dreams - Etcetera reveals

Hmm... Etcetera comes again for Nigerian celebrities. Does this guy ever get tired? There's only one way to find out – time will tell...

And all liars shall go to hell – Rev 21:8.

Again, I’m going to go out on a limb here to talk on a subject that may not be very popular or nice to Nigerian celebs, especially the guilty ones. I have said it severally that just because someone is a celebrity doesn’t mean they are smart. They may have a talent or skill but many of them are not smart especially when it involves their finances. The old saying, “your lies will come back to haunt you” has never been more true than the recent cases of D’banj, Iyanya and Wizkid who are being kicked out of their homes after lying they owned the properties. The residents of blogosphere boulevard were stunned when the news broke that D’banj got an eviction notice from his landlord and was also said to be highly indebted.

Yes, it is hard to believe that someone of D’banj’s status could actually be thrown out of his house. But for those who know that the Nigerian entertainment industry is built on lies and more lies, it didn’t come as a surprise or a case of a cranky landlord. Entertainers are well rehearsed liars. They are not what they make you believe they are. Even the upcoming artist with just one song on radio issues a press release that they’ve bought a mansion in Lekki Phase One and a Range Sport SUV?

There was a time when it was strongly whispered that Don Jazzy and his crew owned Club Jonzing until the truth came out. You must have also heard that D’banj owns Koko Lounge. My brothers and sisters in habit of believing everything you hear, I wish you all knew how your favourite celebs laugh in their closet seeing you swallow the lies like fufu and draw soup. Let me give an example of how some artistes can be terrible liars, we were on a tour of five Nigerian cities with Basketmouth and his then Humour Unlimited monthly show sponsored by BAT. When we got to Enugu, a certain artiste was snoring like a broken trailer exhaust pipe in the bus on our way from the event centre to the hotel. I tapped him hoping to stir him up to reduce his noise but I was shocked when he woke up immediately swearing that he wasn’t snoring, that he was only trying to get our reaction. Our reaction? After snoring for about 20 minutes with a trail of saliva from one corner of his mouth to his shirt collar! O’boy some people can lie in Africa.

Did you hear it on breaking news when Iyanya bought a house in his dreams? His management must have thought it was a fantastic promo strategy then. If only they knew that not far into the future, Iyanya would be dragged by his balls across the floor of the internet, and that his aggrieved brother would take to twitter to inform everyone that Iyanya had been evicted (not from Project shame) from his dream mansion. Yes, it is double wahala for deadi-bodi and the owner of deadi-bodi but won’t it be tripple wahala for Oritsefemi and his management when fans eventually discovered that the N200m mansion he purportedly bought some months back was actually bought in his dreams and not in the real world?

How much does he charge per gig and how long has he been playing these gigs to be able to afford a mansion of that amount? Isn’t it wonderful how naija entertainers think their fans and everyone else is shallow and gullible? Common sense should tell every artiste that these lies won’t achieve anything but hurt their careers in the long run when the truth is eventually revealed.

Like it was revealed this week that Wizkid’s car hasn’t been paid for. True, some naija musicians make a lot of money, but not the kind of money they want you to believe. Does Oritsefemi look the part of a N200m house owner even with all his body cream? The telco brand ambassadors who are being coerced into lying about their endorsement fees can’t make such a preposterous claim not to talk of someone with no endorsement deal. I shivered when I saw in some blogs over the week that Genevieve just bought a house in Ghana for a whopping $4m. This will go down as the grandmother of all lies told so far. Genny baybay, you should have asked yourself if there’s any house worth $4m in the whole of Ghana, except you bought the Ghana National Theatre which by the way may not be worth $4m.

These lies are getting dumber by the day. The worst thing that can happen to any man is believing his own lies. If we had a system where entertainers are taxed for their acquisitions, the ridiculous and unnecessary lies will stop. They will speak the truth and nothing but the truth or so help them God.

We have uncovered Tinubu’s plans of becoming Nigeria’s President - Fani-Kayode

The Presidential Campaign Organisation of the Peoples Democratic Party through its Director of Media and Publicity, Femi Fani-Kayode yesterday at a press conference in Abuja, has said former Governor of Lagos State, Bola Tinubu is planning to become the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria through the back door. He says after Tinubu failed to clinch the vice-presidential ticket of his party (because it would be a muslim-muslim ticket) he offered Osinbajo as his replacement and made him swear an oath to leave office after 6 months should APC win the presidential elections.

Fani-Kayode said it was the perfect way of Tinubu getting into power because he will be made to replace Osinbajo and wait for Buhari’s health to deteriorate and die, then he Tinubu will get into power and his aim fulfilled. He described this move as sad and says no Nigerian should be willing to get into power through another man’s misfortune. His words after the cut.
“It should baffle well-meaning Nigerians why Tinubu has decided to draft Buhari, despite his age, acrimonious background and questionable health status, into the presidential race whilst ensuring that his stooge, Prof Osinbajo, was foisted on the general as vice presidential candidate.

“The reason is that the PDPPCO wishes to use this forum to expose the ungodly plan by Tinubu to seize the presidency of Nigeria by subterfuge.

“You will recall how Tinubu wanted to be running mate to Buhari in spite of the nationwide resentment for Muslim-Muslim ticket that he and Buhari planned to foist on their party men and women.

“Senator Tinubu had justified the (planned) ticket by saying that competence was the important thing and not the issue of religion.

“But when he and Buhari could not push through the agenda within the APC, he (Tinubu), after been given the opportunity to nominate a vice presidential candidate, decided to prop up his stooge in the person of Prof Osinbajo.

“Now, the real reason Tinubu nominated Osinbajo has been made known to us and we hereby offer a public service to the Nigerian people by drawing national attention to it. Credible pieces of information at our disposal indicate that Tinubu has perfected plans to come to power through the back door.

“Tinubu, according to our information, has compelled Osinbajo to swear to an oath that after six months in office, he would resign as the vice president, in the unlikely event that their party wins. The wicked plot, as laid out by them, is to force Osinbajo to resign for Tinubu to be nominated by Buhari as his replacement.”

“The ultimate objective of this plot is to ensure that Tinubu becomes President. The script is simple: given the questionable health of Buhari, Tinubu, who is desperate to be president for his own selfish reasons, will simply bid his time in the evil expectation that Buhari will not be able to go the whole hog.

“How wicked can those that hatched this plan be?  How unfair can they be to the North, to Buhari and to Nigerians? We wish Buhari long life. Senator Tinubu’s dangerous plan is about getting power. This is sad. No thoroughbred Yoruba man or indeed Nigerian wants to get power through the misfortune of another person.

“But this is the perfidious path that Tinubu is passing through. This is repugnant.”

MASSOB launches Biafran currency, vehicle number plates, drivers license in Owerri

The Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) has launched new Biafran currency, number plates for vehicles and drivers’ license for the people of the South East zone.

MASSOB leader, Chief Ralph Uwazuruike, who spoke through the organisation’s Information Coordinator for Onitsha, Mr. Charles Igbokwe, said the new Biafran number plates for vehicles, drivers’ licence and new currency were launched Friday, in a colourful ceremony in Owerri, Imo
State capital.

Chief Uwazuruike explained that the idea for Biafrans to have their own vehicle number plates, drivers’ license and new currency, was aimed at encouraging Ndigbo and, indeed, Biafrans, to come together and work together to develop the South-East part of the country.

He said it is the right of all transporters and private car owners, who are from the South-East to update their vehicle licences, adding that the programme also covers drivers of commercial tricycles and motorcycles.

“Now, it is the right of all Biafrans, all transporters, private motor owners and Okada riders to avail themselves of this opportunity to update their particulars. We also use the period of the registration exercise to call on all the traditional rulers and presidents-general of town unions to help educate their people on the need to get abreast with the new Biafran currency and other programmes.”
He further disclosed that income tax was now available for everybody within the areas under the control of the MASSOB.

On the Biafran currency, the MASSOB leader said the money was already in circulation throughout the ‘Biafran states,’adding that from the time of the launch of the new currency, the money would be available in all the banks across the geo-political zone.

“I wanted to test her virginity” – man caught attempting to molest daughter

A man arrested for allegedly attempting to rape his daughter in Ajeromi, Ifelodun local government area of Lagos State, has told the police that he wanted to test her virginity.

Leadership reports that the suspect, identified simply as Alex, was said to have attempted to rape his 15-year- old daughter, Agnes (not real name), in his apartment at Abiodun street, Ajegunle.

Alex was apprehended by his neighbours and handed over to the police at Ajegunle police station but was later released on bail at the weekend.

Alex had told Agnes to undress up to her underwear, and allegedly wanted to make love to her but she raised the alarm. The neighbours came to her rescue after forcing the door open.

A police inspector attached to Ajegunle police station, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said that it was neighbours that dragged the suspect to the station. He said:

"His wife was not at home when he wanted to perpetrate the act but the man denied doing that. You know that nobody will agree that he wanted to rape his daughter. Police acted on the information given to us and even took the minor to the general hospital for medical examination."
According to the source, Alex claimed that he only wanted to check whether his daughter had been breached.

"He wanted to know whether his daughter is still a virgin or not. So he decided to insert his fingers, to know her situation, according to him."

Man sells his 14-month-old child for N300,000

A middle-aged palm tree harvester, George Maduabuchi, from Owerrinta in the Isiala-Ngwa South Local Government Area of Abia State is in police net for allegedly selling his 14-month-old son for N300,000.

The father of four was said to have connived with another suspect, Obinna Erondu (now at large) to perpetrate the act.

The Commissioner of Police, Mr. Joshak Habila, who paraded the suspect along with other suspected criminals on Thursday, said:

“Luck ran out on Maduabuchi when the wife alerted the police on his questionable role when the baby fell ill and he took him out and did not return with him.”
But the suspect told PUNCH that he did not sell his son, but only took him to a herbalist when he took ill.

He said, “The herbalist gave me money and told me that he could not heal the baby. I therefore left the baby in the herbalist’s home.”

But his explanation was countered by his wife, Eberechi, who said he took their son, who had a cough to the said herbalist, but instead of returning with the baby, rather came back with bundles of money.

She said, “When I demanded explanations on the whereabouts of our son, he could not offer any convincing answer.”

The wife, who is also pregnant, said she raised the alarm, which attracted neighbours who helped to arrest the husband.

The neighbours subsequently alerted the police, who picked up the husband who later led the police to the herbalist’s house at Owerrinta where the boy was recovered .

Paraded also by the police was one Chizaram Amandu, 40, who allegedly murdered his kinsman over an argument over snails in the bush.

The suspect, according to police, went to hunt for snail at Ahiaba Okpuala Isiala Ngwa with the victim, Sampson Sunday.

The police added that quarrel ensued over sharing formula and the suspect allegedly stabbed Sunday to death with dagger.

But the suspect said it was an accident as the victim came out to confront him while hunting for snail behind his (victim’s) house in the night .

According to him, he never knew the victim could die as a result of injuries he sustained.

The police also paraded one Gideon Ezenwoko, a suspected kidnap kingpin, who had been allegedly terrorising residents of the Obingwa council area, adding that he had been on the wanted list of police.

The CP said, “The suspect escaped from prison, where most members of his gang had been jailed.

“He will be arraigned as soon as investigations are over.”

The body of a 26-year-old National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) member, identified as Ernest, was, Wednesday, recovered from his one room apartment after he reportedly took a poisonous substance.

Reports indicate that the young man who was in love with a fellow NYSC member, Chioma Okewuru, went berserk when the girl came back from her village over the weekend with a ring from a man she had promised to marry.

Ernest, who is from Edo State and a graduate of the University of Benin, was posted to Cross River State in October, where he met and fell in love with Chioma, and both were serving in Redemption

So when she came back from home last weekend and showed him the ring her husband-to-be gave her, the young man became furious.

“On Wednesday, the situation became worse and at about 7pm, he locked himself in the room and took some poisonous substances.”

A source in the school told Vanguard: “They met at the NYSC Orientation Camp at Abrekpe-Ebokpo and as luck would have it, they were both posted to the same school where they had a relationship going.

“He had the hope the whole thing would end in marriage, but Chioma already had another person she wants to marry.”

Ntuen said the body had been deposited in the mortuary of Obubra General Hospital, while Chioma is with the police, where investigations on the circumstances surrounding the tragic death are in progress.

Allegations of bribery against CAN deepens

Wednesday, February 25, 2015

The Ayo Oritsejafor led Christians Association of Nigeria has tarnished the image of  all Christians in Nigeria. This is according to a Borno State-based pastor and Executive Director of the Voice of Northern Christians, Reverend Kallamu Musa-Dikwar.

He accused the Christian Association of Nigeria of collecting N7bn bribe from President Goodluck Jonathan to campaign against the All Progressives Congress Presidential candidate in the March 28 election, has insisted that the CAN collected the said amount and have been importing  guns to enable the PDP cause chaos. A shameful thing for a religious body. He added That Rev. Father Ejike Mbaka is the only honest and bold christian clergy man who was willing to speak out.

"CAN has become a mafia. the Shepherd has become the sheep and the center could not hold any longer. CAN is in the news for crimes like arm racketeering and openly campaigning for politicians. The gangster leadership of bling bling has drown the church. Oritsjafor should resign to save his soul from eternal damnation. Thank God for Ejike mbaka's boldness and incorruptibility"

Musa-Dikwar on Monday in Kaduna insisted that the Jonathan government gave CAN N7bn to campaign against the APC candidate, Maj. Gen Muhammadu Buhari (retd.).

He however said that neither Jonathan nor Buhari was fit to govern the country.

The cleric said CAN collected N7bn from Jonathan and not N6bn as alleged by the Rivers State governor, Mr. Rotimi Amaechi, who is also the Director-General of the APC Presidential Campaign Organisation.

Amaechi had alleged that unnamed leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party paid N6bn to Christian clerics to campaign against the APC. The allegation has caused uproar among the Christian community, with the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria and the Northern State Christian Elders Forum asking Amaechi to name the church leaders who collected the N6bn.

He said the Christians body got N7bn on January 26, 2015 and disbursed N3m each to state chairmen of the CAN across the country.

Military Nabs Boko Haram terrorist disguised as a woman, recover weapons

Tuesday, February 24, 2015

The Defence headquarters, Monday, disclosed that following the air and ground assault to flush out Boko Haram terrorists from Baga, its cordon and search operation has revealed some terrorists disguising as women.

Read the statement from Major General Chris Olukolade:

The cordon and search in Baga has revealed some terrorists disguising as women.  The searches are also yielding more discoveries of arms especially bombs hidden in various locations, especially Baga town.
Apart from those captured in the course of fighting, many arrests of terrorists hiding in
the town are being made and troops are still busy interrogating the suspects.
Meanwhile, in furtherance of the mission to clear terrorists from all their enclaves by the military, the Nigerian Air Force has stepped up its air bombardment of identified targets in Gwoza, Bama and Sambisa forest, preparatory to other phases of the mission. The air strikes have been highly successful as they achieved the aims, hitting vital targets with required precision.  Terrorists are now in disarray as they scamper to escape from the impact of air bombardment of their locations in the forest.
Having successfully liberated Baga where the terrorists have been marauding, the troops’ attention has now been focused on consolidation of the security of the area to pave way for return of citizens.

Outrage as Zimbabwe's Robert Mugabe plans to slaughter two elephants & a lion for 91st birthday

Monday, February 23, 2015

There is outrage over Mugabe's plans to celebrate his birthday by slaughtering  two elephants and a lion. The animals will be killed to provide meat for the Zimbabwean President's 91st birthday celebrations.

About 20,000 guests are expected at the party which would cost Mugabe atleast $1m at the Victoria Falls. Workers in the country have also been forced to contribute to the feast, as teachers had $10 taken from their monthly pay.

Innocent Hamandishe, from Mugabe's Zanu-PF party said:
"We are going to ensure that the wonder of Zimbabwe celebrates his 91st birthday where one of the wonders of the world is."

Animal Defenders International President Jan Creamer said
"To plan the slaughter of endangered species like this does not accord honour to any individual or nation, in fact it quite rightly, it brings only shame and embarrassment. There is no dignity in such a demonstration of self-indulgent lack of care and brutality"
Johnny Rodrigues, chairman of the Zimbabwe Conservation Task Force, described the plan as “totally unethical.”
"I am totally disgusted by the news. We claim to have the best conservationist policies in the world, but our president does not set a good example. How can he talk of anti-poaching when he is allowing this to happen?"

Aww! Meet the man with half a head

Carlos 'Halfy' Rodriguez, who also goes by the name Sosa, lost a large portion of his brain and skull in a crash after flying through the windscreen of his car and landing head-first on the road.

Doctors were forced to cut away large amounts of flesh and bone to help him survive and he has since been able to continue his life in Miami, Florida.

In a new video he has used his appearance and story to warn others not to drink and take drugs.
'I was barred out on drugs. I was driving and I hit a pole and flew out the front window and landed on my head,' he said in a message on YouTube.
Showing his head to camera he added:
'And this is how the old boy has come out. That is why it is not good drinking and driving or drugness (sic) and driving. It is no good kids.' [...]
'I was with a cousin and a friend stole the car, there was a near-fatal car accident. As the speed was too fast we lost control of the car and crashed,' he said.
Unfortunately, Mr Sosa is back into his drug and alcohol lifestyle. Friend claim that he is worse now

Journey to a tight vagina

Sunday, February 22, 2015

When going about looking for a natural way to fix a loose vagina, it is important that you target the correct area. The pelvic floor muscle is what surrounds both the vagina and vaginal wall muscle. When the pelvic floor muscle is tight everything else will be nicely held and supported in place. The reason the vaginal wall muscle becomes loose is because it sort of looks and acts like a folded, very elastic and stretchy accordion.  So when the pelvic floor muscle stretches, the vaginal wall muscle can’t help itself and will unfold more and more with it to.

The Main Reasons for a Loose Vagina

Natural Aging process (because of wonderful gravity kicking in, but that’s when exercises are coming in. You can maintain a tight vagina until death)

Vagina loosens after multiple births (e.g. four babies over four years, and not having a break in between to strengthen the pelvic floor muscle after each one.)

There are rare cases where vaginal looseness happens due to severe medical conditions

Using extremely large sex toys regulary

You can Tighten up with these few steps

1. Have an Orgasm
When you have an orgasm – that is actually your pelvic floor muscle contracting. So the more you orgasm the more you start toning up your pelvic floor muscle. As your pelvic floor muscle becomes stronger, so will your orgasms !

2. Kegel exercises are also known as pelvic floor exercises because they specifically target this area and prevent weakness in the pelvic floor area. The pelvic floor is often referred to as a “hammock” of muscles that hold all of the pelvic organs in place. Kegel exercises are a great place to start treating vaginal looseness, especially if you are struggling to reach climax temporarily. Plus, they can be done in the privacy of your own home, when no one is around, so no one has to know you are doing them. Kegel exercises can only help though if they are done on a regular basis.

3. Insert Ben-wa Balls (Geisha Balls)
Sometimes Kegel exercises are not enough to tighten the vaginal muscle, so if this is the case for you, then try inserting Ben-wa balls also, to try get a deeper strengthening of muscles in your vagina. Ben-wa balls are weighted, therefore once inserted, you have to really engage the muscles down there to keep them in!

4. Exercise and Sweat
Do explore other forms of exercise too, like yoga and pilates, as these all incorporate working on the pelvic floor muscle and strengthening your core muscles which together will help keep your pelvic floor muscles tighter for longer.

5. A Healthy Diet – Fruits, Vegetables, Juices, Smoothies
To keep the muscles in your body strong, you don’t just need exercise, you also need to feed the muscle correctly daily to ensure its correct growth and repair. So, ensure you get a healthy diet full of wholegrain organic carbohydrates, organic lean animal protein (excellent muscle builder), and organic fruits and vegetables if you wish to keep your vaginal muscle healthy and strong.

6. Wash off semen after sex if you are not trying for a baby
When you are not trying for a baby, it is advisable to douch immediately after sex as it has been proven that semen contains hormones that sends pregnancy signals to the pelvic receptors. the presence of semen in your body while you are not trying for a baby might be sending the wrong signals to your body for natal enlargements

7. Stop using pain killers in your monthly cycle
Endure the pain naturally. certain pain killers contain Asgenimatin. a chemical agent responsible for retarding pain which has been proven to cause over wetness during sex

8. Avoid birth control pills

Avoiding pills like Postinor 2 will go a long way in helping the pelvic muscles. what these pills does is that the force the body to secrete pregnancy hormones in the body thereby making the body believe it is pregnant while it is not. it works because a pregnant woman can rarely get pregnant again but these new pregnancy hormones can be counter productive because it will relax your vaginal muscles in the believe that child birth is imminen.

ASUP to commence indefinite nationwide strike over HND/BSC dicotomy

The Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP), have threatened to embark on an indefinite strike on Wednesday 25th February, if government fails to meet their demands.

President of the Union, Mr Chibuzor Asomugha told journalists during a press briefing in Abuja that government have not implemented any of their demands since the suspension of the last strike embarked upon by the Union in July last year.

ASUP is aggrieved over the dichotomy that exists in the way Polytechnic and University graduates
are treated in the labour market, and the poor attention given to the polytechnics. They are also kicking against government’s non-implementation of an agreed salary structure since 2009.

The union, until July 2014, had embarked on a nine-month strike and had suspended it following a promise from the Minister of Education, Ibrahim Shekarau, who was newly appointed then, that he would resolve the matter within three months.

Boko Haram members drown in Lake Chad as they try to flee Nigeria

A large number of terrorists have drowned in the Lake Chad as they fled the heavy bombardment by Nigerian Air force heralding the advance of Nigerian troops on mission to flush them out of Baga, the Nigerian defence headquarters has said.

In a statement issued by the Director of Defence Information, Chris Olukolade, a Major General, he said, "Not even the strategy of mining over 1500 spots with land mines on the routes leading to the town could save the terrorists from the aggressive move of advancing troops"

He added, "All the land mines were skillfully cleared one after the other. Eventually, the resistance of the terrorists collapsed and the land forces finally stormed the town in the early hours of Friday.

Many of the terrorists died while an unknown but substantial number of them fled with various degrees of injury, in the series of encounter along the routes of advance as troops headed for Baga."

Honeymooner falls off 4,000ft cliff as he steps back to take a photo of his bride

A Dutch man on his honeymoon escaped death by landing on a tree top after falling 4,000 feet off a cliff top.

According to Dailymail, the unnamed 35-year-old was visiting the World's End mountain when he stepped back to take a picture of his bride, and plummeted off the edge.

He was rescued by Sri Lankan troops and is the first person in history ever to survive the fall.

Brigadier Jayanath Jayaweera, a spokesman for the Sri Lankan Army, said:
'He was extremely lucky because he fell on top of a tree about 130 feet from the top. He is the first person to survive a fall from World's End.'
Troops used ropes to reach the man and winch him to safety. Some 40 soldiers were involved in the initial rescue which was later backed by a military helicopter.

The man had to be evacuated from the area on the shoulders of troops, who carried him over a distance of three miles to the nearest point at which he could be driven to hospital.

A police official confirmed:
'His condition is stable and he is out of danger.'
In 2011, Christopher Pilther, a 53-year-old Australian, fell to his death off the mountain top whilst visiting on holiday.

PHOTO OF THE DAY: Forever young is in our minds

Saturday, February 21, 2015

There is a CD making waves around here titled Mbaka Why. Ordinarily, I would have let you find what is wrong with the above picture yourself but then... I want to ask this Nigerian celebrity WHY he has doctored his date of birth. Yes, no one wants to get old - we all want to live young forever - but sir, how smart are you? You mean to tell the world that you were 3-years-old when you entered secondary (high) school?

Tinsel actress Joju Mose and ner numerous sex toys

Tinsel actress, Joju Mose in a recent interview with Mary Ekah talks about her career, sex life and why she prefers sex toys to men

You look more like a tomboy. Are you in a relationship at all?

No, I don’t have a boyfriend. I am not a tomboy but I come across as a tomboy to people because I’m always on my snickers, T-shirt and jeans. I feel comfortable in those things. I don’t feel comfortable putting on dresses, gown, they don’t make me work fast. They don’t make me do things fact. I just prefer that simple, on-the-toe kind of dressing. Sometimes I go out without make up, if I see that making up will take a lot of my time. I just go without any make up.

You must have been in one relationship or another at some point in your life. Isn’t it?

You know there are some kind of relationship that you would know, yes, this is a relationship. I have never had kind of relationship. My longest relationship was three and half years. My shortest was a day.

Three and half years is that not a relationship?
It wasn’t a relationship like that. For the three and half years, it was off and on.

Why?
The guy wasn’t committed and at some point I was oh I have had enough. Now I need to focus on something else aside love.

Do you yearn for a serious relationship?
Not yet because I’m not ready for anything serious. Relationships are time consuming and a distraction to me. And right now, it’s me, myself, my career, my family and my happiness. A man in the picture is not what I want right now. If something comes up, I don’t think it would be with an Africa man.

Why?
I am not really into African guys.

Have you dated a white guy before?
Yes and it was a fantastic relationship. But he had to travel back to his base. And I wasn’t willing to leave my country because it was at that point I was about to take my career by the horn and just make something out of it. I couldn’t have left at that point.

Like how many sex toys do you have?
About four, the G-Spot stimulator, the rabbit, vibrator and one other, I can’t remember the name right now.

Have you ever falling in love before?
Oh yes, when I was still very naïve (laughs).

What is your take on acting nude?

Someone like me for instance, if I get a script, if the reason for me to go nude is sensible enough, why not? But there should be a story behind you going nude.

Dead priest resurrects to declare that God is a woman

John Micheal O’neal, a 71-yr-old Catholic priest from Massachussetts was declared dead for more than 48 minutes, but he was miraculously revived by medics. Strangely he woke up with a shocking revelation that he had gone to heaven and met God.

Reports say Father O'neal was rushed to the hospital on January 29 after a major heart attack, but was declared clinically dead soon after his arrival.

Doctors were afraid he would have suffered some brain damage from the incident, but he woke up less than 48 hours later and seems to have perfectly recovered.

The elderly priest claims that he went to heaven and encountered God, which he describes as a woman.

“Her presence was both overwhelming and comforting” states the Catholic priest.

“She had a soft and soothing voice and her presence was as reassuring as a mother’s embrace. The fact that God is a Holy Mother instead of a Holy Father doesn’t disturb me, she is everything I hoped she would be and even more!”

'The 469 problems of Nigeria' by Etcetera

An average Nigerian is just a political bystander. Many of them don’t know who their local government chairmen and councillors are and what they are elected to do. But let’s forget about the local government chairmen and councillors; they have never been useful to us, anyway. Let’s talk about the ‘bigger fishes’ — the guys in the National Assembly.

The ordinary Nigerian does not have the constitutional authority to vote on appropriations, but the guys in the National Assembly do. An average Nigerian does not set fiscal policy; our representatives in the National Assembly do. The ordinary Nigerian, even though most of their daily activities revolve around money, does not control monetary policy; the guys in the National Assembly do. The National Assembly consists of the Senate and the House of Representatives, made up of 109 senators and 360 members respectively. When both are added up, it gives 469. These 469 people are the 469 problems the country has been plagued with since 1999.

Let’s take a look at the fraud played on the masses by these 469 men and women. Since 1999, these men and women have spent so much money and energy convincing you and I that the deplorable state of the nation has got nothing to do with them. The disagreement they’ve often had on almost every issue raised on the floor of the House has been blamed on party differences, but in defrauding Nigerians, they have always cooperated and differences in their political parties have never been an issue. They are quick to exonerate themselves and make it seem like the President is the cause of all the country’s problems. They wrote the constitution in a way that the President is shackled only to the powers to propose bills. And they have made it certain that he cannot force them to accept the bills. They fashioned the constitution in a way that it awards them the sole responsibility of originating appropriations. For instance, the Senate President and his fellow senators can approve any budget they want. Even if the President vetos it, they can go ahead and pass it over his veto. They are the people responsible for all the problems we are facing as a nation.

Since 1999, these 469 men and women have effortlessly dangled over 160 million Nigerians like puppets. Of course, they didn’t forget to tweak the law to shield themselves from prosecutions. Have you heard that no matter the level of crime committed, they cannot be arrested on the grounds of the National Assembly? Mehn, what a job to have! This is by far the easiest job in the country with the fattest remuneration. You get so relaxed that all you do is sleep and snore during deliberations and get paid for it. For Christ’s sake, who gets paid for sleeping and snoring? It has become very inconceivable to me that a country of over 160 million people cannot replace these 469 men and women who stand convicted by the present facts of incompetence and irresponsibility. It will do us a whole lot of good if everyone of these men and women is voted out and replaced with fresh thinkers in the coming general elections.

You can’t think of a single problem we are facing as a nation — from bad roads to the decay in our education and health sector and non-implementation of budgets — that is not traceable to these 469 guys. When you really understand the truth that these guys exercise so much power than any other arm of government, then you will understand that what exists is what they want to exist. If the state allocations are unfair, it is because they want it unfair. If the national treasury is empty, it is because they want it empty. If our soldiers are deployed anywhere, it is because they want them there. There are no insoluble government problems. These 469 men and women are damn lazy, even lazier than our court judges and their white lazy wigs. Let’s stop allowing these 469 men and women in the ancient trade of laziness transfer the blames of their incompetence to other arms of government, whom they hire and whose jobs they can abolish whenever they want.

Let’s stop them from further fooling us with the same lame excuses of the existence of cabals and mystical forces affecting the economy and causing inflation. They have blamed these mystical forces as what prevent them from doing what they took oaths to do. These 469 men and women alone should be held responsible for every setback we have as a nation. They and they alone have the power, so they and they alone should be held accountable by the masses who are supposed to be their bosses, that is if Nigerians are enlightened enough to know that they have the power as bosses to fire or recall anyone of these lazy 469 representatives back to their constituencies.

Nigerian woman gang-raped in a moving car in Delhi, India

Friday, February 20, 2015

Police in Delhi today arrested four men in connection with the alleged gangrape of a Nigerian woman in a moving car, the latest in a series of sex attacks in the Indian capital.

According to AFP, the 35-year-old Nigerian woman, who has been staying in India on a tourist visa, told police the men kidnapped her after midnight outside a popular shopping mall in New Delhi’s Saket area before bundling her into a car.

They then drove for around half an hour, during which time the alleged gang rape took place, before
pushing her out of the vehicle.

The woman, who cannot be named, was finally rescued after a passerby spotted her on the side of the road in Mayur Vihar, around 20 kilometres (12 miles) away in east Delhi.

“We have received a complaint from the woman and investigations are on-going,” Delhi police spokesman Rajan Bhagat told AFP.

“We have filed a case under relevant sections.”

Bhagat said the four men arrested were Indians, and the car allegedly used had been impounded.

Local media, quoting police sources, said the victim was in an inebriated condition at the time of her rescue and had suffered minor injuries but was released from hospital by this afternoon.

Nigerian embassy officials in New Delhi were not available for comment.

The city sealed its reputation as India’s “rape capital” two years ago when a medical student died after being gang-raped on a moving bus, prompting mass protests and triggering a series of policing and legal reforms.

Last year, a driver for US-based online taxi service Uber allegedly sexually assaulted a woman passenger in New Delhi while driving her home from a dinner.

Police figures released earlier this year said 2,069 rape cases were registered in New Delhi during 2014, a 31 percent jump compared to the previous year.
